That's how all contracts should be structured for every player, low base salary with heavy incentives for performance.
Such a great plan for the players, who risk injury and a quick end to their careers.

Paid 1.6 mil for playing a kids game and he gets hurt can't play anymore, boohoo he should of used that free ride through college for his after football plans. Plus his throwing shoulder was injured and he just couldnt throw that well coming back last year. A lot of NFL talking heads crying about this contract but I think it's a good.Such a great plan for the players, who risk injury and a quick end to their careers.

For some reason I thought they did get medical insurance. Just not vision insuranceAnd will often have dramatically more medical bills than most of us will ever see. If the NFL gave players lifetime health insurance, I'd agree with your sentiment.
if anyone's worth 2 contracts in one its that kidSchefter says Mahommes signed 10 year extension.
You don't have to try selling it with SB MVP. that award is worthless and plenty of guys not worth a second contract have earned that award.if anyone's worth 2 contracts in one its that kid
Hes been NFL MVP and SB MVP already and hes only 24 lol
crazy
Still, the man has won NFL MVP and won a SB all in his first 2 yrs as a starterYou don't have to try selling it with SB MVP. that award is worthless and plenty of guys not worth a second contract have earned that award.
Sure, but there is going to be a lot more on Mahomes shoulders going forward bc they are now in cap hell. Just like the Texans are about to be when they sign Watson to his mega deal.Mahomes and the Chiefs will be a thorn in our sides for the next 12 years
My point wasn't to argue Mahomes's value. it's to point out the SB MVP's lack of value.Still, the man has won NFL MVP and won a SB all in his first 2 yrs as a starter
Cant do much better than that
Titans can beat Mahomes and the Chiefs and have proved it. Tough team, good QB, but not some unbeatable force. We aren't talking about Indy as they treated Brady and NE during the 2000's.Mahomes and the Chiefs will be a thorn in our sides for the next 12 years
The REFS will definitely beMahomes and the Chiefs will be a thorn in our sides for the next 12 years
As long as they allow their subpar o-line to hold all game. The REFS will definitely be
I saw this. Going into his 3rd year, following his "career" year of 772 and 8 TDs/Mostert requests trade( not saying we should trade for him)
Mostert requests trade after failed contract talks with 49ers
