It's the Oline, not Mariota.

Fans understand there are problems elsewhere and having a shit line will kill all 3 of our QBs.

The fanbase is desperate for a fix and hope any change will work.

Mariota's sack rate and pressures converted to sacks are far beyond the responsibility of the offensive line. As someone pointed out, 50% of his pressures were converted to sacks in the last game, which is 555% greater than the best in the league (luck) the year before. And 18-20% sack rate is just absurd as well. He's holding the ball 3rd longest in the league, not throwing to open receivers, and bailing the pocket and just flat out running into DL. There's plenty illustrative evidence of this out there. Ghost of David Carr.

Nate Davis has nothing to do with Mariota.

I was referring to this being about the Oline, not the QB. But your blood is made up of hatorade for Mariota.

My original post was about the Oline... then the reply was about Mariota. So I explained that it was not about Mariota.

I get that Davis is not about mariota. I hope the kid comes in and plays well, and is a building block for the future.

But it's not going to be the salvation of the season. This season is done. It's purely a question of draft pick at this point imo.
 
Walker doesn’t believe Lewan would fix the team rn. I’m sure he feels the same about a rookie guard.

Ordinarily I would agree. However, we have just been wrecked by two division rivals with their backup qbs. We weren't even competitive against Jax. There is no realistic way we turn this around to anything I care about more than a good shot at a good qb.

I know I was kidding, we just haven’t had a good center since Kevin Mawae. I still can’t believe they haven’t drafted one, really hoping they do this offseason. The extension of Ben jones worry’s me I feel like that’s one of the biggest issues with the line and they act as though it is not.

You looking at starts or watching the games? Who gives two sh1ts about stats. Winning is EVERYTHING. He looks completely lost and SCARED, sorry. Tripping over your linemans' feet and sacking yourself, over or under throwing easy completions... but, they can turn this around guys!! Wrong. #8 is at the point of no return.
 
I still think the correct move would be is to move Conklin inside, put Kelly at RT when Lewan gets back.

I doubt Nate Davis is gonna do much this year. And you never know, maybe Conklin will prove to be a good guard and help be an inside piece moving forward.

Cause honestly, I don’t see him at this time getting a 2nd deal. How stupid would that be to have traded up to draft a lineman in the top 10 and he doesn’t even deserve a second contract.

Try the guy out at guard and see what you have. Conklin at RT is not it.
