Hope our tackles can block Myles, because he's liable to put Mariota out for the year in week one.
Whatever. At least we have a spare this year.

Thats what I have been saying. Surely he can still do something very impressive. What adult man is weaker than he was in high school?I have an idea, why don’t you take a video of whatever it is you can squat now?
Even if your a little out of shape now if you had that kind of strength in high school at a minimum you should still be able to squat 700-800 range, right?
I’m 53 now, still workout pretty hardcore 5 days a week and can lift more weight now than I could when I was in my mid 20’s so unless you’ve been a total coach potato you should still be able to push some serious weight. Put this thing to bed once and for all.
I am a lot stronger as a 40 year old man than I was when I was in HS but I am not nearly as fast and quick when I was running track back then. I think if he did 1000 back then maybe half, 500 pounds, should be doable? 500 is even impressive to me.Thats what I have been saying. Surely he can still do something very impressive. I'd say he just keeps doubling down, but at this point it's like 100x down lol.You guys really dont get why these NFL guys cant do 1000?
They're much taller people than me

Never disproven? Lol cmonI hope it’s never proven and never disproven. I want to see one of these threads pop up when I’m 80yo
I have only witnessed one person in my entire life squat 4 plates on each side, 405lbs, and the bar looked like it was bending on his shoulder. It was 1 rep. This guy was a football player on the team, Oregon, he was built like a lineman. I will be impressed if someone post a video of them doing that.I’d be impressed if he could squat 300
As a freshman in college and one of the few times I ever squatted, I maxed out at either 455 or 475. I was 6' 185 ish then, very athletic, but by no means a weight lifter, still seemed to impress the friends i was with. No chance i could do that now however, the only exercise Ive done the last few years were 12oz curls. And that was killing my liver, so i dont even do that anymore.I have only witnessed one person in my entire life squat 4 plates on each side, 405lbs, and the bar looked like it was bending on his shoulder. really hard to believe? No, it is impossible to believe because it is absolutely not true.As a freshman in college and one of the few times I ever squatted, I maxed out at either 455 or 475. Just knowing how hard 450+ was, I find it really hard to believe someone smaller then me managed more than double the weight. Especially considering only a handful of people on the planet ever squatted a 1000 lbs.
Well, there are outliers to everything but rationally speaking lets just consider something like the "average" athletic person who was a former whatever sport in college or high school. Lets say said person is about 200lbs now from regular weight lifting. Even doubling that weight to 400 pounds on a squat puts a lot of pressure and stress on one's joints, knees, back, etc. Add 200 to get to 600 more pounds and that is just so much more! There's a point you have to think, "why the F do you want to even risk the potential injury?" I am not saying JCB is a liar but like I said I will be impressed if there's a video showing 4 plates on each side being squatted.lmao not even half of JCB caliber
This is accurateBrave said in shoutbox like last year that he had a few people help spot him with the rep and that they probably helped a little. I'm probably getting something wrong so if brave wants to make it more clear he may
