What Garrett did is unacceptable and cannot be justified by any means. He deserves 6 game suspension.

However, if I understand it correctly, the Steelers QB committed the first personal foul by grabbing and twisting Garrett's facemask in the pile. Then DeCastro and Pouncy came in as things were escalating and started grabbing and shoving Garrett.

My point is that there is a reason that Garrett doesn't have a history this sort of thing. He knows he lost it, knows that is unacceptable. But the Steelers shouldn't be coming off like Garrett wasn't provoked by Rudolph to begin with and that DeCastro and Pouncy are blameless in the escalation of the situation. Without the two of their behavior, no way this escalates into what Garrett did.
Garrett doesn’t have a history of this??? If I remember right, he’s the one that punched Delanie Walker after a play week 1 and also put Trevor Siemien out for the year on a late hit.

Strongly disagree. Punching and kicking has no place there.
The guy that held Garrett and ultimately took him down and held him was correct.
No, if someone just attempted manslaughter on my teammate he's going to catch some shots.

Why did Garrett take Rudolph to the ground way after the play in a game that was already over and less than a minute left?

Somehow Belicheck is going to pick him up.

I think that’s a starting point.

They’ll figure out a real suspension amount when they discuss/compare with any previous similar actions.

The fine is gonna be huge though.

I've seen something like this one time and it was The U vs Florida International. I remember watching this brawl. \

At the 0.42 mark you clearly see Reddick swing his helmet. Reddick was a stud, but you never heard from him after this incident.

A lot coaches may rethink about pulling their starters when there's like a min left and the game is out of reach. Because that's usually when players get heated.

Rest of season both teams fined $250,000. Pouncey received 3 game suspension. I believe that Garrett may get pushed into next year. If that is the case, I am cool with it. Never seen something like that before. Could of been real bad.

He is lucky he didn’t try that on a Titan. He would have paid with his life. Tanny boy would have given him a life ending pile driver.

I forgot how brutal that fight got. Hard to believe that’s a football game.

I also think the guy swinging the helmet brought his own specifically to use as a weapon.

I remember watching a Cowboys game as a kid and Randy White pulled off a player’s helmet and started beating him with it. Never thought I’d see that again.

he actually does have a history

he punched Walker in game one of this year. Can’t be doing stuff like that
