Spotlight was a bore. The acclaim this film is getting makes very little sense.

The Big Short basically did what Spotlight should have... take a relatively boring (but important) headline story and make it entertaining.

The Revenant was a bit disappointing, but at least had some great cinematic moments, and performances by Tom Hardy and Leo are worth the time.

SyFy's new channel COMET has been showing some classics and cheeser greats.
It's free so go watch some good movies dammit.
Both Dr. Phibes movies, X, The Man with X-Ray Eyes, Johnny Sokko etc.

Even though this movie has no super heroes, vampires, aliens, zombies or cgi graphics it is still excellent.

It is good to watch for those interested in refugees, actual refugees. Not like those fake refugees invading Europe.

Predator 2. Like the biggest drop-off from a great original to a terrible sequel, right?

I kinda liked Predator 2, but it definitely is not as close to good as the original.

I saw this movie a couple of months ago when it came out on Netflix and it was a solid movie. Young kids just being plucked out by rebels in this on going civil war that make no sense and families just getting decimated.
