I was really happy when we picked up Henry in the draft. I am a Henry fan and supporter... I agree with you 100%. His career has been crap other than those few games. If he wants an extension he has to show he has figured it out. Otherwise back to the scrap heap looking for the next.

He doesn't need to play at 250 lbs or whatever ridiculous size he was. He was clearly leaner when he was receiving the bulk of the carries at the end of the year, which helped him to create and sustain momentum.
Maybe I'm looking into it too much, but he looked noticeably thinner at the end of 18 compared to 17

This is exactly my concern with Marcus. I'd love to pay him a reasonable amount to keep him, but even middle tier guys are getting insane money. To have a guy be worth that high of a salary, he has to be adding several wins a season by himself. If you take Rodgers of the Packers they instantly are going to win 5 fewer games a year, at least. Same with plenty of the other top guys.
If your QB is more or less replaceable with someone you can trade a 4th rounder for, there is just no reason to pay him $30M+ a year. $20M, sure, fine. But it doesn't look like that's where the market is going.

Where do these reporters get this Info. Dianna Russini posts about Marcus Mariota not the starter against the Browns?? And she said it's heard among the coaches and staff?? Awesome we really need this S#$T at the beginning of the Season. If this is not True, HC need to shut her down, and discredit this false Info!!
