Smith is going to be the last guy who thinks he's smarter than the last and can fix Mariota. Crazy to think that LaFluer got more out of an offense with a receiving group devastated by injuries, down to his 4th and 5th string tackles, Blaine gabbert at QB, and running the wildcat with Henry a substantial number of times. It seems he understood that the key to success was to keep the ball out of Mariota's hands or give him one read, and make sure that he was going to get open. After all of this talk of his completion percentage, 3rd down conversion rate, and deep passing, he is bad at all 3 now.Can we put him back in the box yet?

Honestly has me feeling better about him leaving. Hopefully Arthur's approach can open up the offense.

I'm thinking if we make the wild card it's still bye bye marcus. His inconsistency for the 2 years have been excusable and our run game had carried the load some what. If Jon can sort a high draft pick before draft night marcus ain't getting signed. Maybe tagged but no multiple year extension.
