If that’s why he stays, the franchise has no interest in winning and I would suggest they consider everyone on the roster, if they ain’t a choir boy, they’re gone.Mary also has the type of attitude we need on this team. But they have to see that this is not a winning franchise bacause of him. Even more, they will realize that the fans will not continue buying merchandise or anything else for him if he sucks.Mary is that type of guy though. Freaking just being a winning franchise is not something we traditionally are. Sucks but it's true.
I think that the front office sees Mary as someone who generates ticket and merch sales. Hate to say it but again this is a business. Mary just needs to get the wins because obviously as I've shown, he has the numbers.

I want to believe but man , THIS was the game to "prove" that we are going from good to great.
Was it though? Second game in a new offense( yes Arthur has been here, but it still a new offense) and with a makeshift line that was a sieve at times.
Was this really THE game to prove it?
Here is my thing. After 3 winning seasons, I don’t want to go back. I don’t want to go back to the QB hell of searching for the one that can do it. I believe Mariota can be the QB. I just hope he fully proves it.
Mary is on his like 4th or 5th OC at this point right? Needs time to get the new system down like anyone else would. To write Mary off after two games is so dumb. Get real folks! Hurt, I could see getting upset but he is fine and just had a bad day.
To me personally if he bombs Thursday, start Tanne . But as an organization they may want to let it go 1 or 2 games longer . Now if Tanne comes in throwing picks and doing bonehead stuff we’re really screwed. Mariota’s conservatism and athleticism fits this team more than someone reckless (not saying Tanne is reckless) because of the D and running game . I’m getting tired of it too but in all reality it was 1 bad game this season in all fairness and he deserves and will get the chance (or chances) to bounce back.
