Extend Henry and Tannehill, **** it.
Cap goes up every year, we'll be fine.
Thats not his thing tho imo
Maybe some swing routes but i dont want to see him linning up out wide like CMC or Kamara.. Ive seen him goof up routes out there
And all salaries go up every year—cap going up is a non factor. Why do people keep repeating this notion of the cap going really giving you more cap space—every other position gets more expensive across the league. It is a wash.
Eh, it's not nonsense. Its complicated but simple math at its core. Teams can't afford to build a roster of studs anymore because of the salary cap structure, so each team generally have ~2-3 stars on each side of the ball. Great teams have great middle tier players to separate them from average - good teams. This means those middle tier players becomes the meat of your roster. Is the meat of your roster stronger than that of your opponent?
I say that to say by extending your stars early and often, as salaries inflate with an increasing cap, stars account for a smaller % of your cap allowing you to build a great roster regarding those middle tier players. Timing is everything when you look at it that way. This is partly the reason the Patriots remained so good. Because Tom gave home field discounts allowing the Pat's to build a better roster at the middle tier then mostly all other teams.
I agree with your overall point, the cap going up isnt a big difference maker immediately or in the distant future, but it is in years 3 & 4 of a 4 year deal for a star player if the contract is not back loaded.I guess I don’t disagree with what you are saying here, I just don’t understand how this in anyway refutes what I am saying.
The cap went up x percent right? Then average salaries across the board will also go up x percent. So the two cancel each other out. There may be a way to take advantage of for one team for a year, but overall, it is not the gain people keep arguing that it is.

Yep, that's pretty incredible. But how does that make a fan base ignorant? You see the poll results, right? This thread is why I, mostly kiddingly, say this is the most ignorant fan base in sports. Here is the truth...in the last 8 games he’s played in BDH has 1273 yards rushing on 203 carries, for a 6.27 yard average. With 11 rushing TD’s. Think about that.....
Who knows? He said the same thing about this fan base when he "knew" Mariota would get an extension this year.Yep, that's pretty incredible. But how does that make a fan base ignorant? You see the poll results, right?
That it’s even being debated is why....Yep, that's pretty incredible. But how does that make a fan base ignorant? You see the poll results, right?

I think the only two people that debated that we shouldn't sign him to a mega deal were myself and @Titanoiler51That it’s even being debated is why....
The poll shows more than twoI think the only two people that debated that we shouldn't sign him to a mega deal were myself and @Titanoiler51
We have both changed our stance in the past 3 weeks.
But, we did also provide some pretty solid evidence that RB mega contracts hurt teams.
That said, pay Henry whatever he wants at this point.
Right, but you said your issue was the debate. Not the poll. Which is it?The poll shows more than two
Zzzzzzzzzz just admit you are wrong about BDHRight, but you said your issue was the debate. Not the poll. Which is it?
