Having thought about this for a couple days I'm kinda of on the side thinking maybe he didnt know. He seems to have the entire team convinced, and the drug that was flagged is for bone density. He claims hes taking supplements for the brains benefits... Anyone who's had concussions should probably be on something that helps with brain health.
EDIT: I was wrong on this. From what I could find, a player who tests positive for PED's is suspended 4 games for their first offense. That's a bit insane, but ok NFL.
Not to downplay this, but PED's in football matter exponentially less than PED's in a sport like cycling. Obviously they're banned for many reasons in football, but someone on PED's isn't necessarily a better football player than someone not. They might run faster, and be stronger, but that doesn't mean they can be any more effective. There are so many players who aren't the strongest or fastest, but have better technique, are smarter, read quicker, etc to make them a better player. The one major bonus PED's can give in football is recovery time.
In cycling, your strength, speed, and recovery are directly related to how well you perform. The sport has such small margins between the leaders and those in the back. Not to say there aren't other skills, techniques, and tactics involved, but the physical portion is so much more directly related to success.
If this was the same supplement that Clemson used, why would you use it?
Outside of the US the suspension is 2 years for the first offense and miraculously thousands of athletes avoid “tainted” supplements.
Whenever a football player gets busted for PEDs he blames tainted supplements. Been that way for years. So assuming they’re telling the truth, then you have to be a special level of dumb to not stick to the supplements that have been tested and approved by the NFL and NFLPA (or USADA, WADA or similar).
I don’t think he said same supplement, but it was the same drug they got in trouble for.
They had the same excuse tho, tainted supplements
Could be wrong lol
Onnit is way more than a supplement, they’re a full service gym/training/apparel/programming community. They have over 100 gyms nationwide, and the one in Austin is pretty badass I know because I’ve been there a few times.Joe Rogan has also touched on this many times, he is part owner of a supplement company called onnit and said they had issues when they first started with tainted supplements.
A lot of these companies make more than one product so if they don’t clean whatever they use after a batch and start a new batch of a different product, it could easily taint the new batch.
Sure you can get tainted supplements, but only if you buy from questionable companies.Couple UFC fighters proved tainted supplements to be real.
Or how about you don't use supplements to begin with?
NoHas Lewan mentioned what product it was?
He's getting his shit tested to see which it was and then he's gonna release it, he saidSure you can get tainted supplements, but only if you buy from questionable companies.
