This was the best year for the Titans in almost 20 years! What a blast, would have liked to have won two more games but after starting 2-4, I don’t think any of us can complain witch how this season went.

The big question is this, do you think we’ve finally turned the corner from good to great? Is this the beginning of multiple deep playoff runs or was this just the result of catching lighting in the bottle?

I don’t want to be like the Jags from a couple years ago. Made it to The Championship game only to immediately fall back to the basement. I think that if we can keep our core pieces together and build a true “elite” championship caliber defense we could be a force for years to come.

I wouldn't say we got lucky. There are definitely some deficiencies on this roster that need to be addressed if we want this kind of run to be the new norm though.

Some solid coaching covered them for a while, but there comes a point when you need the horses to win one-on-one and we didn't have those guys in important spots.

Besides the addition/subtraction of players, we now need to win the game we are suppose to win, win the AFC south and shoot for home field. If today's game was in nashville, i think we win.

well Roger being at the game meant Titans were not gonna win, but I hear you

and Titans were 4-4 at home.... 7-4 away

Lets see what happens next season. Lots of turnover annually in who makes the playoffs in the AFC. Having said that, titans have made the playoffs 2 out of last 3 seasons. This off season will be challenging for the front office

I think they took a huge step forward and can continue for at least a couple year window.
Next season there will be a difference though, they won’t be able to play underdog the entire year.
Another 2-4 start would be a huge let down and seen as a failure vice this year’s appearance of “same ole titans”.

Be interesting to see how many fans we lose during the off-season.

regular season football - downtown Nashville is nothing but drunk out-of-towners

latley it looks like Titan fans came out of the wood works in the playoffs....

When we’re winning our usual 8-9 games per season and losing to teams we shouldn’t - will see how empty that Titan bus gets

but to answer the question ... yes the Titans turned the corner once Mariota was benched ... will it carry over into next year? That’s why they play the games ...

Im just excited that our FO wants to win and win now. 3rd year for Vrabel next season, we should be in the SB. This off season going to be huge. If we can attract some big time players that will go a long way. I think dean Pees retires so we may need another Def coordniator.

Regardless of what we do, we will have to always play this Chiefs team at some point.

Cry.

Welcome to the life of a pro sports fan. I’ll let you in on a little secret: that feeling it isn’t exclusive to Titans fans.

for real ... dude I seen a Lions fan comment on the Titans FB page after either than NE win or BaL win and he was saying he was rooting for us (under dog) because it’s the closet thing he will ever know to playoff excitement - living through us.

And it’s true ... we could be Lions fans ... be thankful even though it sucks.

We have some important free agents and possible cuts coming this offseason. Hard to say we've turned the corner until we have an idea of who's even on the team next year. This season was a step in the right direction though.

Step in the right direction but there is plenty of concerns as well. How we handle the draft and our free agents in the off season will be interesting. If tannehill and Henry are here (I am assuming they will be) can they both continue to perform at this high level or does tannehill come back down to reality a bit

Honestly I think recipe for this titans team is to start looking at 49ers or the titans when we were 13-3 twice.

power running. With a GOOD change of pace RB attack and nasty defense. Tannenhill can do WAY more than Kerry Collins could and we were fine.

Not yet. Until we have a #2 rb, a qb that doesn't fold under pressure, a d that will take chances, a d that will tackle and/or a stud playmaker on d or o. We need 2 of these things to "turn" the corner. Bright side is we should be able to make this happen in the offseason.

Are people painting that THill folded under pressure?

What is this based off of?

He played great his first 2 playoff games for the limited attempts he was given. He gets a tough game in freezing temps where Henry isnt as successful as he had been and the D didn’t help at all and now he chokes?

I think there were some very good things to happen thus year...

1. Henry emerged as a legit all pro star.
2. Looks like we have a real WR in Brown.
3. Some of the young defensive guys (Simmons, Evans, brown, Jackson) have really improved.
4. The coaching staff really impressed me. I think we may finally have a real coach.

The uncertain...

1. Tannehil played well... But he isnt truly top flight. We can win with him, but the script has to go well. If we get into a shootout with an elite thrower, we lose.

2. The defense is good, but not elite.

Improving either one of these, either with an elite QB or an elite pass rusher can get us to the next level. Neither is likely to be sitting at pick 29.
