Good riddance and good luck finding another job ever calling plays again. You are atrocious at it but it's not all your fault. Someone was dumb enough to hire you to call plays. They should be penalized too.

With that being said, who do guys think our next OC is? Do you think Art gets canned mid season or is Vrabel/jrob too soft to admit blame instead of blaming it on their players. You know their typical we just need to execute better spill after every loss lol

The worst part of it all is that we hired Art so Mariota could have continuity, only for the QB to be canned 5 and a half games into the season.

Halfway through the 2019 season the Titans are averaging:

18.5 PPG - rank 27th
299 YPG - rank 27th
5.0 Yards per play - rank 27th
18.2 First downs per game - rank 26th
33% on 3rd down - rank 24th
+7 on turnovers - rank 3rd (the only positive)

To be fair though, we weren't much better under LaFleur or Robiskie. This franchise is just allergic to good offense. The last time we ranked top 10 in either PPG or YPG was 2003.

Im tellin ya I think robiskie was better than Art and that is saying something lol

in all seriousness, OC at all levels try to be the "smartest" guy in the room. NFL down to HS, watch them. I know belicheck doesn't call the plays but you better bet that he makes his wishes known as to what will happen each week. His formula is simple...He is going to PICK on whatever you do poorly and NOT play into whatever your strengths are. One would think this would be common, but in fact it is the opposite of what happens.

The titans are the only team who dont use analytics on offense lol. Go figure.
 
New OC paired with a new QB in draft

We don’t need anymore Mariota, Alex Smith treatment where Arthur is kept around another year with the new rookie only for him to be canned a year later.

When this year ends start fresh one more time

Mariota, Arthur gone.

Tanny kept as a stop gap and draft a QB + an actual name who is an OC and has experience.
 
0% chance that Smith gets fired mid season unless that offense just completely bottoms out. He has about 8 games with Tannehill to audition for his job next season but there's no way we can draft a rookie QB next season with an OC on the hotseat.
 
Smith could do himself a whole lot of favors by calling more PA on 1st and 2nd down and getting some men out of the box for Henry. If he doesn't do that then we need to show him the door.
