Never let money make your decision for you. I always remove that from the equation with employees because the money you pay today will be squat tomorrow. Remove it from the equation. Operational costs are no longer the challenge, the franchise value is where the big bucks are made. Titans are currently 29th in value, and one superbowl probably moves them into the top 10, creating and additional 1-2 billion in value and squashing the cost of Tannehill or any other qb. And the work is easy when you have talent. What you can't afford to do is lose elite level employees and Henry has more of it. Not only does he have the pedigree, he's proving it again on the field. Tannehill may end up costing us, but he's the more replaceable commodity given he's at best an average qb, and has generally proven to be below average when it matters, so Henry is the best decision in terms of long term financial growth and on the field success.

Are you aware of the salary cap?

I definitely don't trust this staff to develop a QB
Name the last QB this franchise developed... then the total number this franchise has ever developed.

It's pretty ridiculous... not even somewhat develop.

Uhh your on the same side in this.

Tanne playing out his mind... “totally replaceable”

Mary barely hanging on to his job lookin TURRRRRIBLE.... “EXTENDZ THE MAN, you can’t lose a good guy like Mary!”

Are y’all serious?

We can always use THill as the first QB in our attempt to do what KC has done for decades, not bother drafting a QB.
Until Mahomes, they hadn’t drafted or developed a QB since maybe Kenney in the 80’s and fully intended on the FA signings being starters.

Logan Ryan. I want a long term deal done, but if not, use the Franchise to give more time to extend him.

This is assuming we work Henry and Tannehill long term deals. I think they'll be first on the docket.

I voted Henry but only because I assume we will lock up Tanny long term and do so quickly. I am guessing he gets a 4 year 27 per type deal and takes it. Tagging Henry get you him cheaper than he will cost on a new deal.

Franchising Henry will be overpaying him. Youre basically saying hes worth $12M by tagging him.

I want Henry back, but I tend to think a 2-down RB could be had for less than 10/yr

I know this is backwards but if he gets paid as if he was a 3 down back, use him for 3 downs starting next year.
I think most of us recognize Lewis is gone, so who is taking time. Plus, he’d be paid to carry the load of 3 downs.

Henry is more than capable of being a 3 down back. I don’t think he gets enough touches in the passing game tbh because he’s shown that he can produce. If your paying Henry 10+ a year he better be on the field for all 3 downs.

Franchise Tammy no question. Half a season (after 6 fair to middling seasons) isn’t worthy of a long term contract at the modern QB rates (27-30 mil/yr.) Franchise him and see how he does with a larger sample size.

As for the price of QBs going up each year. The “big name” free agents this year are Winston, Mariota, Prescott and Bridgewater. I can’t see any of them raising the bar over 30 mil/yr. I actually see it plateauing there, especially after the Goff debacle.

I'd lay it out. Tell him he can sign a long term deal now for x. If he wants y, he gets the tag and we'll see how next year goes.

He may be a gambler. Or he may want the sure money.

It would be best not to have the team leader disgruntled on the tag if possible.

you Franchise Logan Ryan... you cannot risk his DPOY potential self hitting the market, or teams will move quickly to find another Gilmore, Bouye, etc.

Resign Derrick....myou have something in your hands to hold over Derrick Henry ---- the fact that he's not a scat back, and that it takes an almost offensive overhaul to cater to him... if he leaves Tennessee, not alot of teams utilize the downhill run that suits his style.

Resign Tannehill. Maybe 3 year contract? That way you're not in bed too long if things don't pan out a season from now.
