Rex Ryan’s defenses with the Ravens were amazing. Has the Oilers connection through his dad Buddy. Currently lives in Nashville. I could see it happening.
 
Good suggestion on Rex Ryan. He's not a good HC but as DC he's good. Also, give our defense some nasty attitude, we'd be the bad guys.

His third year with the Jets things went downhill. Maybe it was personnel but here’s his rankings for defensive points given up:

2011 - 20
2012 - 20
2013 - 19
2014 - 24
2015 - 15 (now with Buffalo)
2016 - 16

Of course that’s all as HC.

What the heck is Rex doing living in Nashville? Whats the connection there ...? Woulda been one of the last places I woulda guessed he lived.
 
Forgot about James Bettcher. He was the other candidate mentioned when we hired Pees. Had an impressive resume’.
 
This defense is Vrabel's scheme. I expect the next DC will be someone who knows that scheme and already has a relationship with Vrabel.
 
I'll put my money on Bowen or McKenzie, but I think Jerod Mayo is going to end up being a good DC and he fits the bill of former patriot with ties to Vrable. He was also a Vol for what its it's worth.

Coached under Pees as well. Supposedly a rising star in the coaching ranks. If I were betting, I would say James Bettcher is the next Titans Defensive Coordinator.
