Landline? No joke I didn’t know you could
even still have that. We should do a poll and see how many members do.
I have one.

The internet was cheaper if I got the landline bundled.

I don't have a phone plugged in...

My wife had a work from home job as a software trainer and the landline was required. The company paid for it. She left that job and we've since cut the phone line.

As soon as the nfl ends the Sunday Ticket contract with Directv I’m done. I’m shocked they didn’t opt out this year which they could have. NFL could double the money they are making from Directv and provide the ticket to other cable companies and online resources especially overseas. I get a solid discount off the ticket and my bill for being a customer for so long but I can’t imagine paying $300 for the basic Sunday ticket or $400 for the ticket Max on top of your monthly bill. That’s some serious coin. Only time I really watch a bunch of tv is during the season so using Hulu or Sling for half the price would be my next option.

We cut ours about 5 years ago. The only calls we would get on it were sales calls.

I couldn't imagine dropping that kinda money, $100+ on TV.

I was paying 65$ a month for internet, called to cut it down, and they offered the same package, for 35$. Its a local internet, but it never hurts to call and ask.

Then the $8 Netflix subscription, I have a free Hulu subscription through a Spotify subscription and then Amazon Prime.

Total is maybe $70 a month for all my streaming services, and I may try to find a way to cut that back. $70 a month is still too rich for TV, imo. At the same time, Hulu is free, Spotify is the best service out there and Amazon is for shipping.

we are looking at YouTube tv, combined with Prime, and maybe Netflix, maybe

I pay $100 for internet + whatever netflix is + spotify family. We get Hulu for free through spotify and sprint, and we have amazon prime so we get those videos too (although I dont think we use it at all)

I couldnt find anything on Prime when I had it
Prime video has gotten significantly better over the past year or so. It's still not a service I would pay for JUST for the video offerings. But combined with the free shipping it's well worth it imo.

Dropped Directtv effective Monday. Started with YouTubetv today....so far so good...
