Yep, has said that is his goal in some interviews.Does Art Smith even want to be a HC?
We need to find a DC and an OC with no desire to be a HC then lolYep, has said that is his goal in some interviews.
Nt sure I would want them then.We need to find a DC and an OC with no desire to be a HC then lol
Better than having to find a new one every year, isn't it?Nt sure I would want them then.
Depends on how a average or below they are. I would rather get a good guy every two years then keep some the crap we’ve had for years.Better than having to find a new one every year, isn't it?
The better option would be find a great OC who failed at being a HC and hire them. They had their shot and failed so no more HC aspirations. We need to find a DC and an OC with no desire to be a HC then lol
So Art in 2022-23? LolThe better option would be find a great OC who failed at being a HC and hire them. They had their shot and failed so no more HC aspirations.
The rumors are getting stronger that Harbaugh is ready to back to the NFL. I would not be in the least surprised. The way I see it, there's about 5-7 teams that will have HC vacancies in 2021 (ATL, CHI, DEN, DET, HOU, JAX, NYJ). The list of coordinator candidates that are very likely ahead of Art is not that long:
Eric Bieniemy - Chiefs OC
Robert Saleh - 49ers DC
Brian Daboll - Bills OC
There's a few college names that could make the jump too, but you never know their level of interest. Harbaugh and Riley would top that list but I wouldn't be surprised to see another name or two rise to the top. And who knows if they really would even make the move.
Art probably falls more into a second tier category where someone might take a chance on him after swinging and missing on one of the big name college guys. It's possible he gets a job in 2021, but it's also possible he sticks around one more year.
Sometimes it takes the NFL a little while to warm up to you, and you have to go through the interview process a few times.

We shall see. I wonder how much Michigan wants Him? Not exactly a rousing success there.

I agree, bring back Robiskie. We need to find a DC and an OC with no desire to be a HC then lol
Yep, which is one reason I think he jumps ship if the opportunity is decent. Can’t see him going to the Lions, but you never know.I thought he was sure to be fired

Its not about not having any fire, some people are just good at being a Coordinator, its not necessarily a bad thing.Wrong. Why would you want someone who has no fire ? It’s part of the game, you deal with it.

Something to be said about continuity too
