There were multiple QBs during the deflate gate scandal that basically scoffed like uhhh we all do that?
........

Maybe. But are they also on a team that videotaped and stole defensive signals on their way to multiple Super Bowls? My point is (and apparently I’m a minority) that is it really admirable to “win at all costs” the Patriot way of rule bending/breaking as long as u don’t get caught?

I’ve just never respected that methodology. Brady throws a great ball- no denying that. But I think the BB, TB, Kraft and the Patriots are simply of bunch of arrogant rule breaking turds.

so Deflategate and Spygate...2 things that everyone did.

Taping signals was LEGAL at the time, the Patriots got in trouble for the location of the camera, not the use of it. Attempting to steal signals is as old as the game itself, or do you think coordinators have always covered their mouths for the fun of it...

Deflategate is also something everyone does. Everyone doctors the balls to their liking.

Remember Aaron Rodgers admitting on MNF that he intentionally submits balls inflated above the limit and hopes they dont notice? Is that not an equal offense?

Even if we say, yeah Goodell is right and it happened as he says, its an incredibly minor offense.

In fact, in hockey, the same offense is having too much curve on your stick blade, know what happens if you get caught? Its simply a 2min penalty.

The ONLY reason anyone gives as big of a crap about the Patriots doing it is jealousy, plain and simple. They're so salty about the success that they are obsessed with poking any holes they can in it to make themselves feel better about their crap team.

So on both accounts you admit the rules were broken. But you rationalize it by saying everyone does it. Then you say anyone who has a problem with the Patriots is at fault by being jealous of their success.

That could possibly be the most asinine logic I’ve heard on this site. Hope you never have to defend yourself.

Not at all. It just pretty stupid to always criticize the Patriots because there's alot more teams that do it, especially the Saints in the SB. You could argue thar their the biggest cheat to this game we watch on Sundays.

This stuff has been happening forever. George Allen used to send spies to other teams practices then put colored lattice pieces in his own chain link fences so other teams spies couldn't watch his practices. It's gaining a competitive edge and gamesmanship.

They broke no rules. Benting and breaking have two different definitions.

Heres the reality to this: Every team bends the rules as much as they can be bent. The issue is that professional sports are filled with egos. People dont want to say "the Patriots are better coached than I was, they work harder than I did and they've been doing it for twenty years - therefore they're better than me" Thats too rough on the ego of fans, players, and coaches in the rest of the league.

Kraft has been charged about that handy he paid for, how the fuck are you going to say that guy hasn’t broken any rules?

Guy has probably been involved in human trafficking also considering he was close enough to have one of his rings stolen by Putin.

Every team steals signals...I did while I was a high school coach...Our fan base is the most ignorant in sports

Understood. Doesn't make it right.

Look- I've nothing but respect for how the Pats play the game on the field. Brady no doubt GOAT. I've seen him play live. He throws the BEST football I've ever seen.

But he tampered with the ball prior to a SB run and was caught. The way he did it was against the rules. Then he obstructed the investigation.

Spygate was on the way to another SB run. Bulluck called out the Pats as knowing our signals before the rest of OUR D knew what was called. They eliminated us from the playoffs with the game.

Rules HAVE been broken. And if the best defense/rationalization is "Everybody does it" then just change or remove that specific rule. That rule (and others) are put there for a purpose with the intent to remove unfair advantage (or as you like to say "competitive edge/gamesmanship"). The Pats consistently attempt to circumvent the intent with the same advantage.

My problem with the leage is simple. If EVERYBODY is doing it as you and Big TT suggest- just remove the f*cking rule so EVERYBODY is abiding by the rules.

You and I differ. Your comments suggest you and others ascribe to the philosophy "If you ain't cheating, you ain't trying". I don't ascribe to that philosophy. I've been a champion in 3 different sports, at 3 different levels. Never had to gain a competitive edge by "bending" or breaking the rules.

Brady was suspended and the Pats were fined AND lost picks.

WTF is “PROVE IT” even supposed to mean other than showing your willful ignorance?
WRONG, the PATS accepted and NFL ruling...EVEN the NFL stated they couldn't PROVE the PATS did anything wrong with the balls...talk about IGNORANT.

You think everyone does it, fine, yea sure.

But you are just flat out not telling the truth.

we have determined that the Patriots have violated the NFL's Policy on Integrity of the Game and Enforcement of Competitive Rules, as well as the Official Playing Rules and the established guidelines for the preparation of game footballs set forth in the NFL's Game Operations Policy Manual for Member Clubs.

preponderance of the evidence, meaning that 'as a whole, the fact sought to be proved is more probable than not.'
