1 neutral site for each team is the only way.I don't see how 17 games works out fairly in regards to home vs away games unless one year you had the AFC teams all get an extra home game and then the next year all the NFC teams get the extra home game....in this fashion when time for playoffs no team would have an advantage compared to the other teams in their conference
Double elimination with every team? Not enough playoff teams. 64 team playoff or none at all.
I'm 100000% down with 0 preseason games and 16 regular season games. What fan says "Le'ts have fewer games"?
Double elimination for everyone. I like it. F the regular season, you lose twice, you’re done. Not enough playoff teams. 64 team playoff or none at all.
Are you suggesting ..........TWO Seasons!!!!?Let’s just make the season start first blood.
**** it, let’s eliminate the needless commercial breaks, and sudden death rules in terms of scoring.
Season could be through in October.
Well, I’m not sure that Bama vs. UCSLU muddogs is really anything more than preseason but many teams pass on preseason.I'm 100000% down with 0 preseason games and 16 regular season games.
College football doesn't have a preseason to get geared up, and those are amateurs. The NFL doesn't need one either.
Bama regularly opens with an FCS team. Bama regularly wins that game too.Well, I’m not sure that Bama vs. UCSLU muddogs is really anything more than preseason but many teams pass on preseason.
I think the nfl has seen its peak. It will begin/continue to decline, and rather than try to improve the product, they will do crap like this and continue to squeeze every last drop of revenue out of a declining fanbase. The NFL never listens to fans. They hear what they want to hear.
Fans: We don't like preseason. Let's have fewer games.
NFL: More regular season games!
The ****?
I think that’s just a personal outlook.I think the nfl has seen its peak. It will begin/continue to decline, and rather than try to improve the product, they will do crap like this and continue to squeeze every last drop of revenue out of a declining fanbase.
Years ago, I watched nfl football any game that I could get. Now, if the Titans aren't involved, I don't watch. I don't even watch the super bowl usually.
They keep making more money and outside the kaep debacle the viewership has been steady or growing for years...I think the nfl has seen its peak. It will begin/continue to decline, and rather than try to improve the product, they will do crap like this and continue to squeeze every last drop of revenue out of a declining fanbase.

I'm the opposite, I watch every Thursday and Monday nighter, and 3-4 games ever Sunday. Fantasy football has paved the way for team specific fans to care about other games.I think the nfl has seen its peak. It will begin/continue to decline, and rather than try to improve the product, they will do crap like this and continue to squeeze every last drop of revenue out of a declining fanbase.

This might be the only way this could work. And, I guess, those NFC teams would host an additional preseason game.I don't see how 17 games works out fairly in regards to home vs away games unless one year you had the AFC teams all get an extra home game and then the next year all the NFC teams get the extra home game....in this fashion when time for playoffs no team would have an advantage compared to the other teams in their conference
4 :bs: exhibition games is the problemWhat's wrong with the current format? really though? it's fine
I stopped giving a f about the players in 2003Nothing, but Goodell is set on growth and keeps his job because of it.
I dont like change for the sake of change, but the NFL does. Which means they will have to cash in on the new TV deal to avoid adding a game to increase revenue. The players hate the 16 games as is, no way they want 17.
No seven seed has ever beaten a 2 seedare people going to stop watching because of 1 extra team in the playoffs and 1 extra week of games? definitely not. the league knows this and wants to cash in.
