Tagging AJ isn't free. If he continued to hold out, which would be likely, Titans still need a #1 WR with little money to fill key positions.
Would not be any different than the situation we are currently in.

Tagging him and trading him is different from trading him during the draft?
Again, a 2nd round pick that had solid production for 3 years (plus some injury concerns) turned in to a 1st and 3rd. Decent return on the investment that no longer wanted to be in Tennessee.
With you reminding us almost every day we can’t possibly forget. You guys all seem to forget that no matter who you draft, sign or trade away, Todd Downing is still the offensive coordinator and our offense is gonna suck.
Is Ryan pitching a tannehissy?
It would be a lot different, WR franchise tag is just over $20 million that would be thrown out the window for a player who's likely to be a cancer if he doesn't just hold out. We also received an additional 1st and 3rd draft pick we wouldn't otherwise have.Would not be any different than the situation we are currently in.
Or the end of 2018 with the same QB and WR.I think someone doesnt understand how NFL offenses work, and certainly not ours!
You want to see Henry without a good QB and quality WR? go back to the beginning of the 2019 season....

That's why JRob made the trade, even if it wasn't great. AJ put the FO in this position by broadcasting his discontent a few weeks ago, and apparently this was the best deal on the market. I think that JRob might have negotiated a better trade before the no-show and Twitter incidents, but it doesn't matter now.
The deal is done, time to move on with the rest of the off-season.
No, that's far from certain, they might well have been stuck dealing him for far less after more of his antics to force a trade. You can trade AJ Brown while he’s under the franchise tag even if he doesn’t sign it. Titans could have gotten more in return than a 1 & 3 IMO

Either way, it doesn't matter, he's an Eagle now. I'm over it and on to the rest of the off-season.
He’s a big physical WR. We have always liked em, and for what we do, he was the best of the bunch. I’m completely cool with letting AJ go, and turning him into a 1 and 3. Sign me up all day with how our O is built!
SameFor what it's worth, I have more faith in Thill than I will ever have for Downing.
