Eli said he wouldnt sign with SD. Why would you want a player who doesnt want to play for you on your team?

The point is he doesn't have a choice. If he won't sign for the team that drafts him, he has to enter the next years draft instead. By that time he would be lucky to go on the first day, which is why you never see players doing so.

Having said he didn't want to play for San Diego already before the draft, they did the smart thing and set up a very advantageous deal.

Someone would draft Eli on the first day if he went back into the draft. He's too good a prospect not too

Sad.
Anyone who loved New Orleans before Katrina can't help but feel mourn for what was lost.

Who cares about the 'Aints, at least there's still JazzFest!

Someone might, but who is to say it would be a team he wanted to play for?

The reason he didnt want to play for SD was they looked like they were far from making the playoffs and the manangement wasnt making the proper moves(according to Eli)to get to the playooffs.

Thanks for bringing back those memories of what a freakin' baby Eli Manning is/was. His brother is even more of a baby. I'd forgotten about that and was starting to respect Eli....

who really wants to go play in new orleans?..and risk another shot of haveing a nother Katrina like hurricane?

I think you could make an argument that people who grew up and have family in the Gulf Coast area could be very interested in playing for the Saints. It would put them closer to their family. Tank Williams would be a possibility in that scenario.
