We can't use any of our WRs like they are WRs.We have to utilize him more than just giving him Kendall Wright screens or putting him in motion only to block.
Put him in the slot and let him do what he did in Tampa.

Here's a crazy stat that shows just how much MM8 handicaps this offense. They said on the radio today that of MM8's 19 passes yesterday 6 were BEHIND the LOS and there was one more that was right at the LOS. It's pretty bad when 1/3 of your QBs passes aren't even going forward.

Maybe if he could complete some 3rd downs he would get more plays....Not defending Mariota because I think he needs to let it rip more... But sometimes checkdowns are the best option and I'm sure some of those were designed plays.
It only looks bad because he only threw the ball 19 times. If he had thrown the ball 30+ times and had 3 checkdowns and 3 passes designed to be behind/at the LOS, who cares?

Perfect fit for Mary. But without the deep ball threat dbs can sit up close and negate Mary’s only throwable part of the field (within 5 yards of the LOS)Hump is a quick pass and check down machine. Seems like it should be a perfect fit for Mary but he isn't acting like an NFL QB.
