Sounds like Mariota had a solid day.

Well.. I just read "observations from the day" and maybe the posts above this made it seem abit more solid than what it really was. So...

Looks like Ryan did not play as well as Mariota today.

Nothing more at this point? Tannehill has outproduced Mary each year and also beat the titans head to head.
He also wasn't drafted #2 overall by the team, with a significant investment in him and his development by the staff, players, ownership, and fans. We're not trying to figure out what we have in him, he's expendable.

If things don't work with Marcus, Tannehill isn't the answer. Trading up and going after a Herbert, Tua, or Fromm is likely the answer.

Herbert is garbage

Can't have a QB controversy if we start them both.

I've been thinking they should do away with PS games and do 3-4 joint practices with a concluding scrimmage. Open the scrimmage day up to fans.
I know the owners will never do it because of revenue from the PS games.

You kinda just described preseason games

I can't argue with you...I kind of am. From what I've gathered/read the players (vets) don't really like PSG's; coaches seem to like practices/scrimmages vs PSG (probably because they control that vs the league setting it up).
I think the practice/scrimmage concept is a bit more laid back than the PSG.
I'm biased though...I hate preseason.
It's like a strip club. Tease without the payoff.

Seriously dude, have you even looked at their career stats and ratings. Lol
Tannehill 20,434 yds 123TDs 75 INTs 87 rating 6yrs
Mariota 12,004 yds 69TDs 42 INTs 89 rating 4yrs

Avg by years
Tannehill 3,405 yds 20.5 TDs 12.5 INTs 87 rating
Mariota 3,001 yds 17.25 TDs 10.5 INTs 89 rating

Avg by games played
Tannehill 232 yds 1.39TDs .85INTs 88 games
Mariota 214 yds. 1.23TDs .75INTs 56 games

What’s your next argument?

Fair and balanced

Bet he changes your mind this year...
No way, 3 year starter and at best mediocre.
1. Crumbles in big games. 2 consecutive bowl games where he was absolute trash

2. He has maybe 2 wins vs ranked teams?

3. His road record is bad

4. In Ducks camp there's no drop off between him and true freshman Tyler Shough.

5. He for certain is not even top 5 QB in the nation. Not even best in the Pac12.

Herbert is undoubtedly a better NFL prospect than Mariota.
