As far as I know, each vote counts. You can vote as much as you want. It's pretty much a free-for-all.

If this is going on for all 32 teams, expect the SI server to melt before it's complete.
 
Actually, if you can view the frame source, you can see the total votes. They didn't really work to hide anything. I think they want this to get crazy.

"Classy" on the part of the vikings guy, anyway. Is there one of these polls for every team's fan sites? I'm theorizing he went to the second place site on every poll today and asked for some reciprocal voting, just to bump up his own numbers. :)

BTW, it works for me as of Thurs. night.
 
Yup. I'm hearing of some sites using "voting devices" in order to bump up their numbers. I still think the SI server will go dooooooooooown before this thing is finished.

Reminds me of that episode of SportsNight where Casey convinces Jeremy to rig the internet popularity poll so he can trounce Dan...

Man I miss SportsNight...
 
Yeah, if SI really wanted to be accurate, they'd just find out which sites have been around the longest, have the most members and the most activity, but I suppose that's way too much work for them.

Also, that method certainly wouldn't get them nearly the amount of traffic they are about to receive. Online revenue generation is really skewed for the most part because advertisers still pay for raw hits instead of time spent on a site, etc.
