This is what I expect. With a late round rookie to come in as a developmental and special teams guy.

Either:
1. Sign King, draft CB round 4-7
2. Don't sign King, draft CB round 2-3

I like the idea of signing King and drafting a CB in round 2-3. Who knows if Adoree will be here past 2021, and I'd like to have quality insurance in case someone goes down with injury.

I imagine we'll also draft or sign a back-up S to play behind Amani and Byard.

It all depends on what happens in FA. If we do in fact get pass rush help, then it opens the door to secondary help earlier. If not, who knows. I was surprised we drafted Wilson, so I don’t know what “football players who want be be here” we might draft.

I agree. FA will tell a lot of what we do in the draft, but I believe we'll go defense in round 1. Luckily, we should have some quality options to choose from. If we sign a big name Edge in FA, I expect we'll go LB in round 1 (Zaven Collins perhaps). If we bring back Brown and don't bring in a high quality starting Edge in FA, I would expect our 1st pick to be Edge.

Can’t draft every position in the 2-3 round.

Currently NEED edge rusher, then toss ups among WR, TE, CB.

This team just doesn't make much sense. I think JRob had a few good years and now is just flailing trying not to drown.

They claim they want hard working players/leaders that have a tenacity.... yet those are the players they release.

Logan Ryan got the secondary working in the offseason. Had them playing great. QB on D. Cut.

Malcolm Butler finally looks the part- plays his ass off on a god-awful D as one of the lone bright spots showing any heart.... cut.

Sucks, but this window closed quick.

Where you been? I missed you're refreshingly realistic takes.

I'm in total agreement with you. JRob making 0 sense beyond making cuts just to make more cap. Like somebody else said, he better have a plan.

Just said in another thread.. Jeff Fisher of GMs.. Yeah he can bounce you off the bottom and make you average, but then seems to hit a wall and has no idea what to do to take the next step.

I dont understand at all what he is doing, so Ill give him the benefit of the doubt and believe he is going to bring in some great FAs and draft picks...

but if he doesnt, I am off the JRob bandwagon.. too much of what is happening the past 2 seasons looks like a clusterF up top.

But but but we got 11 wins last year!

I disagree. If a player can't get the long term deal he wants that he would normally get in a regular off-season, I would advise him to sit out a year, rather than a take a 1 year cushion deal and re-enter FA next year. If you're in the upper tier of talent (and aren't over 30) your value isn't likely to be affected much by sitting out a year (see Le'veon Bell). And we've seen numerous times how playing on a 1 year deal can cripple your value if you get a significant injury (unless you're Dak Prescott apparently)

I also sitting out would be smart for some—so totally agree. For some the one year pay day would be worth the risk and for others it wouldn’t be. But one year deals OR sitting out is likely what we will see a lot of.

Man I’m glad you aren’t an owner, you would be the Dan Snyder of NFL owners. Dude is going into his 6th season with waaay more great moves than bad and you think he should be fired. The past 2 seasons? You mean 2 years ago when he got us a QB. We made the AFC Championship game. That year?

Y’all’s problem is 3 players.... Wilson, Clowney and Beasley. That’s it. A COVID year. Where stuff was out of whack. Then the Cap gets cut by $40 million from what they expected. I guess that’s Jrobs fault?

Replaced by who? What should he have done that he didn’t do? Or what did he do he shouldn’t have? What has happened the past 2 seasons that bring you to this opinion?

It mattered last year. Doesn’t matter for this year though. The clock is reset every season.

But when an employee, particularly in professional sports is graded it’s on the last. Having said that.... if last season doesn’t matter and the clock is reset why are we frying the guy over what happened last year?

Man you sure are really good at changing what someone says into something different so then you can argue about it and make it seem like you won the argument.

Show me one time, once, where I said fire JRob.

Then, go back over your posts for the last few months and see how you are wrong every single time you post almost.

Now.. If I dont see proof of where I said fire Jrob within 2 hours, I am putting you on ignore because I have no interest in debating with people who does that kind of bs...

There is a difference between long lasting decisions like bad signings and single season wins/losses. Two consecutive disaster off seasons would be devastating. Most people are saying get it right this time around or... bad things will ensue.

Guys. He is 31 years old. Chill. He is on the wrong side of 30. Cost too much money, You don’t cut 25 year old starting cornerbacks. You cut 31 year old starting CBs.

You want pass rush? Something has to go.

Exactly what I was trying to tell these kids
