The problem is the McBack metality in regards to running back. Since Eddie faded/left those shoes have had to be filled by 2 or more running backs. Well, one shoe and one boot filled by multiple backs anyways.Gunny said:If Brown was healthy last year he would had close to 1800 yards IMO.

You used to count on EG for 100 yards and a win, week in and week out.
Point is one of these years Tennessee has got to get a stud star calibur running back. Draft or FA. Top ten back...we could go like Washington did and buy ourselves a power running game. Just look what FA aquisition of Portis has done.
Yeah it was confusing...sorry about that. When I said "say this" I really meant that her post was to the effect that Travis was better than Chris...I've seen your vigorious defense of CB in the past...what I meant really was not to say that too loud around Soxcat...Soxcat said:I'm kinda confused by BIPOLAR's comment. I'm a big CB supporter. CB just has to be utilized on plays that give him the best opportunity to succeed. We saw what he can do as a reciever. Brown is never going to be like Eddie George. Also, Brown had a great YPC last year and I doubt he suddenly started stinking this year. Our OL has to improve.
Yikes...I know I love to see you get you going about the the RB position...Soxcat said:Short memories?
Eddie George, the one we could count on for 100 yards had 7 100+ yard games in three years (2001-2003). Chris Brown in 2004, the guy who everyone now thinks stinks and needs to be replaced had 6 100+ yard games, three of which were 152, 147 and 148 yards.
but still there is an old dusty stat that when the Titans were at thier hieght with the smash mouth running game, if EG had 100 yards or more it was a win __% of the time...
Big TT said:I think that he (brown) has indeed proved himself. Unfortunatly what he has proved is that he is a 2.2 ypc runner with an occasional 15 yarder thrown in to "pad" his stats.

Yeah, I know he didn't play anywhere last year, but neither did Henry or Brown!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:brow:
With EG here at least you never worried about who would start, and we didn't have to worry about who would come down with reefer madness!
