If he had a step back with his injury and is on the mend, likely he won't be kicking a whole lot weeks 1 through 8, idk if I want him to be kicking week 9.

Is this season ending IR or is this the IR when he can return?

I think Santos was actually the kicker KC kept when they released Succop and we signed him. Funny how it's come full circle.

How does a kicker get hurt in the off season? I am fine with it too, we kick to many field goals. Maybe we go for it more on 4th down

That is a fact! He got beat out in tampa this year by a rookie with a big leg

This sucks but it's not like Succop had the strongest leg either. As long as Santos is consistent inside 45, I'm happy.

EDIT: just looked up his career stats for kicks inside 50 yards, he's 87% - almost the exact same as Succop. I'm good with this.

Damn this came out of nowhere.

I hate having to change up kickers. I have got to the point where I know if Succop is going to make or miss a FG. Now I got to get a feel for Santos.

I guess if this has to be done, it's best now rather than mid season.

Why was Santos on the market? Especially with someone like the Bears in need of a FG kicker.

Unfortunately, I am hearing good "inside 30 or 35".

37% of the Titans games last season finished within a 4-point margin. They went 4-2 in those games.

Five of those games were before Week 8.

Losing Ryan Succop is a big deal for a team with razor-thin margins in terms of playoff chances.

Last year he was perfect inside 40, but was only 3/7 from beyond 40. That's a pretty small sample size, but still a bit concerning. But there's a reason he was on the street, just have to take what we got at this point.

How did he get hurt? I think we will be ok though, I will miss his long kicks seems like he missed a few of his shorter ones last season. Kern is the real MVP of the team!!

Still don’t understand the decision by JRob not to bring in a rookie K during training camp. Usually does, but didn’t when our kicker is injured. Doesn’t make sense to me. Wish we would have given the former 2nd rounder Roberto Aguayo a second chance. Performed well for the Chargers in the preseason last year.
