The Lewan story set up the Simmons pick nicely. We're now good enough to make luxury picks like that, and when talent prevails over needs like it did in 2014 you dont get upset the next time your team pulls that move.

For the purpose of this exercise, I ding Lewan for going 11th. You are supposed to build your franchise around guys taken there. You need those guys to perform.
If you can take a guy in the 3rd or 5th and get one of those guys and not Paul Williams, you've done really well with those picks.
