Offense was great, as usual. Hell, even Mariota had a positive play. The defense looked terrible against the Texans 2nd stringers for long periods of time. Got to find a pass rush, hopefully Landry shows up soon.

And **** the patriots.

Roberson going to be our pass rusher. Dude is all over the place.

I was wondering when we'd see Tannehill and Mariota on the field at the same time.

I'm still confused what those two plays were for.

The first has Tannehill lined up as a WR. That means one of the better receivers is not on the field. The ball is snapped and Tannehill just stands there while Mariota throws over the middle.

The second has Mariota handing the ball off. Okay...

What's your take?

Not used that play for sure but Tannehill was a WR in college. I’d be more than happy to see a team leave him alone while Mariota throws to him (only on gadget plays of course).

The whole point was to confuse the defense into thinking it was going to be more of a gadget play than it actually was. That was enough to free Brown for the Mariota pass and a big gain. While Tannehill was a WR in college, he stood there as to not put himself in harm's way (he was never getting the pass anyway).

The second time was again to do a run play, again showing the Mariota look. That play was less successful.

Still, it's something for Belichick to have to worry about.

I think I like the rally cry of why not us?

Get pumped and by the time Vrabel is holding up that Lombardi, he can say, you shouldn’t have doubted us.

Ps- Tannehill just stood there because if he takes one step forward he is fair game they can hit him at the line.

If the Patriots spend 15 minutes in practice going over that scenario it was worth it. Less time to focus on something else.
