I think there's something to that for the offense. Doesn't address the other two units, though.I think part of this is Henry's running style relies on wearing down on the defense. So the first quarter is a lot of body blows but no uppercuts and it leads to a lot of stalled drives, but by the late game it starts working.
If we dont have turnovers our missed fieldgoals or slow starts arent bad. But when you mix those things in we struggle to win. Im still sick over our loss last week. Texans played a near mistake free game and won because of it.
They threw 2 interceptions in the end zone.
You said Texans were near mistake free. 2 RZ int is not mistake free.Yes. One you could say was a mistake. Other was a tipped defensive pass we forced. Which kept us in the game. But we had plenty of mistakes that kept us from putting up points in the first half.
my point was slow starts wouldnt kill us if we get that fg or dont give up a 90 yard int return in first half.
Near mistake free isnt mistake free. Penalties didnt cost them. Missed fgs didnt cost them. They extended drives. Scored in redzone. Much more mistake free than us.You said Texans were near mistake free. 2 RZ int is not mistake free.
I think you’re also overlooking the fake punt instead of trying a makable (with a real kicker) 55 yard FG.
