Jacob Eason is really good guys. He is 6'6 230. He lost his starting job in Georgia due to injury. He transferred to Washington and is lighting it up. He also only runs if he absolutely has to. He is legit and is a pocket passer. We would be fools to pass him up.
I think Eason could be an amazing value pick, potentially falling just due to his unfortunate situation. Losing his job through no fault of his own, and to a great talent. Then transferring to a conference that doesn't have the competition. Could be a steal for someone.

Problem with Eason is you don’t get to see him play a tough defense unless they play one in a bowl. They scored 19 against Cal this year. 19 points. Against Cal.
This is true, and a valid knock. IMO, Eason is a guy you snag in the second.

You can't judge someone by who they play. If so Big Ben and Carson Wentz wouldn't be playing. Also Steve McNair would never have played. Look at 3 of the top receivers of all time. Rice= Mississippi valley st. Moss=Marshall, Owens=ut Chattanooga. So I find your reasoning for not wanting Eason to be invalid.

So, Ben, McNair, Moss, Rice, and Owens dominated the competition in college. Wentz is not a proven franchise QB. Eason led his team to 19 points against Cal. I find your argument to be invalid.

His numbers are similar to Ben's numbers but in a better conference but let's harp on one bad game. If we didn't draft someone over one bad game there would never be a draft held.

So Eason came in as the top guy in the country and probably thought it would be cake. He was good as a freshman, but nowhere near as good as what he and others probably expected. He got hurt, lost his job, did the right things as a backup, transferred to a new opportunity, sat a year and won the job. I think that shows toughness.

I think I like him best, but haven't watched him since his FR year. Look forward to seeing him play.

i dont like fromm or eason, but the whole tough defense schtick doesnt work considering the best QB in the NFL right now is from the Big 12 and played terrible defenses every week

Pretty sure Tom Brady played in the Big10.

Eason is 16-26 for 180 yards and no TDs right now. It’s the 4th quarter. Guy is not an NFL QB.

This right here is exactly what I'm saying. Some people may not like Eason and that's fine. Just don't say he ain't good because he doesn't play anyone.

Bounced between Wash/USC and the Clemson game. Thought Eason was fine. He was mostly accurate, didn't make big mistakes, and was somewhat mobile. Yeah, he missed some throws and his pocket presence wasn't perfect, but if we are looking under that kind of microscope, we can't have a quarterback.

Not going to take a hard stance in either direction off 1 game.

I won't make up my mind until I see these guys run the three cone shuttle at the combine...

Add Washington to that list as well. We don't really have the fire power. Maybe, but I stay unconvinced.

Yeah I was going to add them but they drafted a QB this year. But true they will have a new coach now so they could give Haskins the ‘Rosen’ treatment and trade him so he they can draft a new Qb Incase they get 1st

Not too sure about that since Haskins was forced upon Gruden. Pretty sure I read Haskins was the higher ups want.
