My coffee “setup” cost maybe $45.

Cheap krups grinder, an electric kettle, and a plastic pour over. Most brewers cost more than that and will make you a better cup of coffee than any one of them.
 
Kurig is amazing... exactly nobody NEEDS a better coffee maker than a Kurig


but I am not a hater.... let me just go get another glass of homemade cold brew ...

Kurig doesn't get hot enough to brew coffee properly.

Plus you have pre ground coffee that's been sitting in a plastic cup for god knows how long.

Grinding your own coffee makes such a difference. You can grind your own coffee with it though. Just use that filter cup even though Keurig 2.0 stopped it I believe.

I just can't give them my money.

If I get a coffee maker it will be a moccamaster

It is absolutely horrendous for the environment.

The inventor actually came out and said how wasteful it is.

I’ve got one, but I made sure to get on of the reusable cups for it. I encourage everyone who has one to look how wasteful they are.
