I said that when we fired him. Some people are just meant to be position coaches.
Let’s boot O’hare too while we’re it.

I’m not arguing that MM8 isn’t the guy but if your trying to say our Oline isn’t a problem then you’re hate on Mariota is blinding your vision to all of the other glaring deficiencies on this team. You mean a QB with talent and anticipation skills avoids pass rushers? You don't say .
Mary had the 3rd most time in the league to pass prior to this week. Most sacks this game consisted of him sitting in the pocket and then running right into the pass rush. He's done. Get him off of the field. You people have impeccable standards for the other positions on the field. Yet can't acknowledge the fact that our #2 pick looked like a scrub compared to a rookie 6th rounder
Funny, I just said the exact same thing...lolI said that when we fired him. Some people are just meant to be position coaches.

Petition Petition to Start Tannehill over MariotaMaybe... just maybe....
Lewan, Nate Davis, and Tannehill all start week 5 and we actually have a competitive team from then on.
Already signed and shared
David Carr.So I guess I’m one of the few Mariota supporters left here. I just want to say that no other QB has had to deal with more BS than him. I mean his o-line over much of his career has been so freakin bad that they are to blame for 1) his injuries 2) his inability to see open receivers and 3) his pocket presence. I mean 8 sacks last year against the Ravens and now this tonight. I mean why does anyone think any QB we get will be ANY better in the future when we have to deal with this OVER AND OVER! Get munchak back NOW and whip those fat asses into shape and then Mariota will shine. Guarantee it
Yeah, true. He didn’t have a good opportunity either. Sad this is looking like it will have a similar ending. Gosh how else do you run a franchise into the ground when you have one first round draft pick QB (Vince Young) fizzle out after a few years then another first rounder (Jake Locker) RETIRE based off the injuries he received playing for us and then YET ANOTHER first round SECOND PICK goes through five OC’s, no o line protection and is probably going to bow out of the league knowing if only he had a stable team with an actual offensive line maybe just maybe he could have been great. SMDH I feel so freakin bad for the guy and us fans who’ve had to put up with this negativity and hopelessness of thinking McNair will be our only true great QB we’ll ever witness as a Titan.David Carr.

Mahomes on this team and we’re still not very good with this team as is. He might have shaken a few of those sacks and turned nothing into something but overall he wouldn’t suddenly turn this team into a SB contender with an Oline that cant hold a block for even one full second.
He had some of the best protection in the league when we were trying to be run heavy and keep the pressure off of him. We get two OCs who we hope can help us pass the ball more and put more on the QB's plate, and it backfires. People act as if he was treated like Josh Rosen. PLAY action offense ONLY works if the LINE and the RUN game are working. There were

Yep and penalties, especially early did not help. Plenty of sacks to review for the blame game this week. Some were on MM, some were on the OL.I watched the highlights, and they were set up to fail. Multiple 2nd and 3rd and longs which generally invite a ton of pressure and a QB who holds the ball too long and drifts into pressure.
