The Texans are a disaster waiting to happen. When it does it won’t be pretty. Their defense isn’t and won’t be special. They might be flashy on offense in some games but they will get handled by complete teams with better coaching. Tunsil is better than they had but he and Stills will be locker room issues They won’t win the division.

I am thrilled they did it though. Colts and Cows franchise taken major hits in last week good for titans. Also heard a rumor that the jags may trade fournette for gordon that would be interesting
Lol. Who is going to take on a top 10 cap hit for an injury-ridden below average RB?

I think BoB has lost his FN mind. And I’m ecstatic about it
Seeing a lot of speculation that O'Brien knows its boom or bust time for him personally, so is making all these moves in a 'dont care about the organisation if this goes wrong, as i wont be here to deal with it' , kinda way

I do not think Tunsil is a franchise LT not sure he is even a good one, you do not give up 2 first round picks and a 2nd round pick for that. Then you give clowney away for a 3rd pick and pay 8 million of his salary. That was stupid. I would have traded him to chargers for melvin gordon and kept the picks.
It's so strange. If they make the move for Tunsil and mortgage the future for this year, why wouldn't you want Clowney for the year, then let him walk. Must have just wanted the guy gone, still dumb. Him for Gordon straight up would have improved the team much more.

If that's the case, Clowney is much more valuable than a 3rd round pick.

The value they got from all the trades is horrible !!!

It will help them in the short term but it's going to hurt in the future.

Does it even really help them much in the short term though? Sure, Tunsil will help the OL a bit, but then they turned around and shipped out a 9 sacks guy for nothing. Almost seems like a push.

Probably doesn't but it is pretty clear their objective is short term. I am glad they did it. As soon as we get a real QB we will start to dominate the division.

The Titans are Luigi right now while the rest of the division implodes:

Not necessarily, OBrien has fucked the teams future to the point that viable GMs will turn down the job.

He may feel that if the Texans bring in a strong GM, is fate is sealed. This keeps their options limited, and may allow him to retain some power if a weak candidate is hired

They have a franchise changing QB. Any GM would take that job over one like Miami which has a ton of draft capital and no talent.

Yeah to suggest no GM would want the job is absurd. They may not have any worthy picks next year, and thats understandable but I dont think that would fall on his resume in his first year. You could argue that whoever their new GM is next year is in a much better position than Jon Robinson when he took over our front office few years ago...

Not having a GM is how you let Clowney leave for essentially NOTHING! Mainly because they waited so long to trade him (and had other suitors offering more) that once no one could sign him long term...they were gonna get nothing for him. Someone will say they got a 3rd for him, but that's gonna be where...towards the end of round 3? If Seattle can't re-sign him in the off-season, they most likely get a 3rd round comp pick back...so they get to have him kick butt in their D this year and potentially lose a few spots of 3rd round value in exchange.

I'd sign up for that!

But the utter incompetence in the handling of Clowney is unbelievable and will hurt them long term. You don't give away one of your 3 best players for nothing in their prime...it's insane. And the ONLY reason no one is talking about it...is because everyone is following the shiny object...hey we traded for a LT! Have no leverage, have no long term deal with him...and they thought Clowney was difficult?
