We have the talent(especially when lewan gets back and we can shuffle the line a bit) to be a contender. Try Tannehill this year, draft a rookie next year with Tannehill starting next season.

I do think tanehill would likely be better for this season. But since neither is really a long term answer, who cares. Every win makes it less likely we can fix the problem in the draft.

If we re-sign Logan Ryan we keep a very good defense(that will get even deeper when Simmons gets healthy and hooker continues to improve). Trade picks and go get a QB. The rams did it, and they're superbowl contenders again.

Rams are only SB contenders because they've built a very strong roster. Not because of Goff. Goff is terrible.
 
I agree Mariota looked lost yesterday.
Very frustrating watching him.

Lots of blame to go around though, terrible tackling, how many missed sacks, we made Brissett look like McNair!

Play calling on the last play was horrible...why not run Henry?

Damn kicker missing the short FG

I have to agree. Yesterday was a PITIFUL performance by a year 5 second overall QB pick. If you can't get more than 3 points with a short field, you are backup QB material. And yes- Santos should have made that 45 yarder but he's a backup kicker. A franchise year 5 QB should know better when guiding the offense NOT to rely on a kicker. There is enough tape to show that Mariota is incapable of making the quick decisions necessary to score points. He could have tucked and ran for numerous 1st downs- he didn't. He could have taken way more shots downfield- he didn't. Hell- he couldn't even get the ball to DH22 on an outlet without Henry having to jump for it (and drop it as a result).

It's time to move on from Mariota. The debate is over.

The first has been a problem for YEARS.
The second has been a problem for almost two decades now.

Nothing ever changes. It's just the same old parade of mediocrity and half measures.

I was at the game. People want to b!tch about the fans? The fans who go to the games give up a lot to be there. Yesterday is was SCORCHING hot. The ambulance units were running crazy picking up folks with heat exhaustion (many were passed out after 2-3 beers).

Colts fans were everywhere. Colts fan next to me says "How much these seats cost you as a season ticket holder?" I tell him and he says he bought his for 10% of what I paid outside the gate. No wonder nobody buys season tickets except the folks who have it bad for the Titans.

Soft ass Mariota needs to go. McNair is rolling in his grave after Mariota chit, soft-azz performance. Mariota's performance was a DISGRACE to the old Titans style of play led by McNair and George. Too bad they had to pick the hottest day on record for a game and lil b!tch Mariota leading the game.

I'm betting we can trade to get Fromme- I think he's decent enough. There are so many QB needy teams now though- we're going to have to have at least a top 12 pick.

You play to win the game. Stats are for losers.

We lost yesterday because the Mariota offense only scored 17 points. Let that sink in. You watch the tape and you see the #6 QBR missing open receivers and rb's, and relying on dink on dunk. This QB has kept our offense averaging around that point total for a couple of years now. This QB's decision making is too slow.
 
Our offense has been piss poor for 2 years now. Why is that? This year we have a very above average receiving Corp that goes 3/4 deep, top 3 TE, and a top 10 rb. There’s no reason our offense should be this stagnant. Gotta make a change now. Can’t bear to watch MM8 make stupid decision after stupid decision. He’s lost all confidence and he’s playing scared. He’s holding this offense hostage and has been for a couple years now.

Start Tannehill and trade whatever you have to trade to get your QB in the draft. This team is a good QB away from being a contender. And if you think these conversations aren’t being had today with Vrabel, JR, and the coaching staff you’re simply delusional.
