This year they HAVE to be. They HAVE to see what they have with Mariota, and if it doesnt work, Tanny is there. I could see them calling 30 pass plays a game for Mariota right out the box. Can't hold back. If he flourishes, great. If he flounders, they have possibly the best backup in the league.
Absolutely. This is the year to be aggressive. We have to see what can happen when we are...We have to get over the “average” hump.

We have to be aggressive this year. Only way we can truly see what we have. And only way we can utilize our weapons skill sets

That's why I actually like the addition of Tannehill. It allows the offense to stay aggressive. It's not because I think he can challenge Mariota whatsoever. However we dont have to force an injuried Mariota to lead a conservative gameplan like we did last year.

Mariota will be fine. It's his time to shine this year. We are going to shock a lot of people this year.

Sharpe is a smart player , who can play all spots . Nothing extraordinary but useful nonetheless. We need playmakers though , we have a shortage.

What’s our record before drafting tajae? What’s our record after?

Mr. 1st down is what I call him. Dude is money IDGAF what y’all say. He’s got the most reliable hands on the team aside from Delanie.

This is based on targets? As terrible as this is, its more a sign of QB accuracy than it is of WR hands. Sharpe didn't drop 45% of his catchable balls. No surprise at all.. the flankers have a lowest percentages while the slots are better and the RB is the highest. Sharpe is solid and I'm buying the consistency from the off-season reports. If there is one thing he's been good at, it's been getting 1st downs. 30 to 40 catches for 350 to 500 yards and a couple touchdowns is all we can ask for from a guy that will 5th in the pecking order for targets. Don't need to be splashy, just make the plays that matter most during critical times.

I think he had 20 or 22 1st downs on 600 snaps

Thats not a lot of 1sts but for 600 snaps it is

Hands isnt his issue I agree, so you're probably right that a lot of missed balls are on the QB. Hes simply not a guy I'd game plan for, but this isnt news to anyone reading this.

At best, he's 5th in line for targets. No one game plans for the team's 5th option. He's solid for what he is, and he's clearly proved himself to the coaching staff.

He’s solid if he’s schemed open. He catches anything thrown his way in that case.

But if you except him to win any type of 50/50 balls or make a catch with a DB anywhere near him, you’re probably gonna have a bad time.

Looked like miscommunication on his target today. Hope that gets cleaned up soon.
