If we are trying to put our best guys on the field would AJ Brown be the better option over Sharpe even though he lacks experience in the playbook and reps with Mariota? I get Sharpe may be the safer choice right now but AJ just flat out offers more to the dynamic of our offense. Sharpe is just too limited for my liking even if he doesn't make many mistakes. I say AJ should be starter week 1. I know in all likelihood AJ may not start right away but see his snaps increase over time but what do you guys want to see?
 
AJ obviously the better talent, no question. But he is a rookie that missed all of TC. I wouldnt expect him to start. I'm sure they work him into the rotation though and will continue to give him all he can handle until he does take Sharpes spot.

Yeah didn't make this thread to talk about Mariota but if its chemistry that he needs and knowing where his wrs will be means that he is anticipating his throws to some extent. Idk didn't want this to be a discussion about Mariota.

My point was was his statements contradict each other. PrayIVmercy above got it.
 
Serve youth and the future. Put AJ out there. Even if he has some growing pains, he's more useful than Sharpe.

This. Aj hasn't shown much of anything yet plus he missed camp. Sharpe should start week one. By the end of the year, it will likely change.
