Just back from the game. I don’t think anyone thought the Titans would come out of the gate and take a big early lead. It felt like the start of the Packers game a few years back when the Titans crushed them.

If the hit on Raymond had been called, I think the Titans pull it out despite giving up 24 unanswered points. It looked like a textbook penalty from my seat.

Get back Jackson, Henry, Simmons and Hump and I think the Titans have a solid shot to beat the Cows.

All said, who cares, it didn’t matter, however, 2 losses to playoff teams with everything on the line kind of brings us back to reality of who we really are. Getting in is big, but we still haven’t moved into the top tier obviously.

What the fuck are you even talking about? We’re not a top-tier team, but this loss to NO didn’t do anything to support that notion.

Just saw the replay of the Cook TD and man was Correa HELD obviously not a word about the defense less head shot of course Id be willing to bet had that been any other team than that is called

i guarantee if we had hit a NO WR like that the announcers would have been talking about it and the flags would have been flying.

Gotta get quality PRer's somehow via draft or FA. Out linbackers are very solid, DBs secondary is solid when healthy but man that D line is weak on pass rushing despite 2 sacks today, NO figured it out and shut us down the rest of the game and that cost us with Brees and Thompson
Like you said, our secondary when healthy is pretty solid. If we had a good defensive line it would probably make our secondary look 10X better. A D-line that can consistently disrupt the QB forces them to make a lot more mistakes which equals more bad throws, INT and forced fumbles.

That could definitely help to take our defense to the next level.

Maybe I'll have to look at the hit on Raymond again.

But I'm a 13-10 type guy and have seen the NFL go to shit because of hits that were legit back in the days.

This just seemed like a preseason game to me. I hate losing, but it seemed like we came out winners today with resting our players and the Jets winning.

My only hate of the day is the Browns losing to the Ravens, but I firmly believe the Ravens can and will keep the Steelers out the playoffs next week, even without their starters.

Not a bad game all in all, Jets won so that’s the best part of the day and makes resting Henry a smart move.

This team really is pretty close. We went toe to toe with one of the NFLs best.

If not for that late fumble, I think we would have scored there and shifted the momentum in our favor.

Offense even without Henry put up 28 points. Defense is going to need some more pieces though. They aren't very good. A tier QB and teams can drop 30-40 points on them pretty easily. Allowing 21 points in a quarter isn’t going to get the job done. Just like today.

I agree we are close—and when healthy the Defense was good. I do think we need to improve pass rush—hope we can do with a first round pick.

Seems like we were the opposite of what we’re used to watching today. Great start bad finish. I’m not upset though, but I would’ve liked to be 10-7 over 9-6

Watching highlights in the airport....how was the call we challenged NOT a catch and fumble recovery but Raymond’s was a fumble?
Maybe it’s the limited views/highlights I’m getting but one seemed to be a catch with steps and a “ football move” and the other looked like the proverbial “bang-bang” play.
(Besides the obvious penalty that should have been called.)
????

We got jobbed on two calls that lead to 14 Saints points. Overall for a game that we didn't have to have and we rested our best offensive weapon I'll take it. If we can hit Houston in the mouth early and or make it a long slog I don't think they will have the motivation to put up the fight to beat us. We just can't let them bury us to start the game.

Special teams sucked today! I think the Saints returned every kick and started close to midfield on almost every possession, it definitely hurt us

Being objective:
1. On the challenge play, Thomas nor Logan ever had possession of the ball during the catch. They both fought for the ball but neither possessed and made a move. Logan also dropped it as he was falling.

2. Raymond did go up and he caught the ball, had possession of the ball and took 2 -3 steps then got hit and unfortunately fumbled. Seemed like he was knocked out for a second when he was hit and that's why he lost it.

I don't think we can put so much on the refs. I think the ryan/thomas call was right, but i do think the raymond hit was illegal. But, overall the calls from the refs were as expected, with booger reffing the game.

We benched players that could have gone because of the texans w. Add in the fact we ran up the middle on almost every 1st down against a good rush d. That was some awful play calling, maybe intentional but horrible. I won $35 betting they would run on 1st up the middle. If i can see it, surely a million dollar coach can see it. I think we are loading up for the texans and trying not to shiw much

disappointed there wasn't more reaction from the titan coaching staff on the illegal hit to the head that led to the fumble...if you don't protest these egregious errors very likely they will happen again....
