The NFL needs to have only two preseason games with teams practicing together like the Titans/Pats did. One home game. One away.

Don't force season ticket holders to pay for games that don't count. Turn a preseason game into a fan appreciation event with a concert before and after.

It could even become a fundraising event for the Titans Foundation by charging one price to see the game, hear live music and sample food/beer/bourbon from local restaurants/breweries/distilleries, etc.

But that kills two guaranteed money games for owners and no way the NFLPA allows two more regular season games so I don't see it changing anytime soon.
As you stated my complaint is season ticket holders shouldn’t be forced to buy the preseason tix

The fact that they charge full price for season tickets is absurd. I wonder if a team could rebel? I assume there is some agreement that teams are not allowed to charge a discounted price on the preseason to attract more fans, but what about a giveaway? Come to the 4th preseason game, and walk away with a new flatscreen! That would fill the stadium.

yeah no doubt, extreme raffles.... hell, alot of high school football games.. that's the only reason some people go... even rural teams, you can pump out a few bucks to win 1300...

Question then:
Right now the schedule works about as perfect as you can get, if 1 game is added, who?
I’d think maybe an at large opposite conference team or another division with the same rank position. (Example, we play 2 AFC teams that ranked 3rd in their respective divisions, add 1 more from an NFC division we don’t play.)

Watching texans vs cowboys. Saw the texans rb1 go down.
Seriously, we should just sit our starters tomorrow night.

I've heard that the new CBA might supposedly cut pre-season to 3 games, but expand the post-season.

in light of andrew luck retiring and lamar miller tearing an acl..... bench everyone and ride into the start of the season

That likely doesn’t expand the length of the season though.
Expanding the playoffs, as it’s been talked about, only adds either 1-2 teams per conference which only eliminates the bye week.
Unless, that talk is also adding in a second regular season bye week again.

Especially since the Steelers seem to be "headhunting".

You blitz much in the preseason unless you want to hurt someone .

I wouldn't play Tannehill at all, unless they want to get him some reps with the 1s. There's really nothing more that he needs to show. Unless Mariota starts off hot, I'd keep him in and show that he can play with some consistency. He needs to prove himself now, not during the season.

Rest your back up and play the starter in preseason. Lol. Sure friend
