I had Walker slightly ahead of Ferguson so hopefully we trade back in. Got to have pass rusher.

Then the Ravens gets Ferguson. Big mistake by the Titans IMO

The Titans met with him more than once, and passed. There is obviously something they didn't like about him.

And we did need to have IOL help, give our bum ass QB the best chance possible.

Instant reaction is how do you pass on Ferguson?
Who is Ferguson? Saw someone mention this on twitter too in regards to the pick.

Honestly, I wanted Bradbury in the 1st.. He went at 18 and Simmonds is too good of a talent to pass on, so I like it. Then I wanted IOL in the second, but from what I've heard, Brown should be a very good WR. I really feel we needed a day 1 starter on the OL, and the comments in the OP say he should compete for a starting job in year 2/3, which kind of concerns me. Admittedly, I know nothing about the guy.

Projections are usually on the conservative side. Scouts have to find negatives about these prospects, or else they'd be out of a job.

From Bleacher Report

  1. Davis plays like the angriest dude in the mosh pit. Which means, of course, that he came across as the coolest cucumber in the crisper during Senior Bowl and combine interviews.

“Being a calm and relaxed person is something that’s been instilled in me since I was a young kid,” Davis said at the combine. “My mom and dad, they brought me up to be a nice gentleman. When you put on that helmet, it’s a different mindset. When you go out there, you try to kill, basically.”

Davis isn’t kidding about that mindset. He tries to pulverize everything in sight and sometimes doesn’t let a little thing like the whistle stop him. He lacks the top athleticism and arm length to play tackle (his position at North Carolina-Charlotte), but he performed well at guard during Senior Bowl practices and said at the combine that he is working on his center snaps, as well.

This is a fine pick. Davis is a little rough around the edges technically, but he has the tools and temperament to be an outstanding interior blocker.

    Grade: A

So is JRob thinking C or G here?

We did give up 11 sacks against the Ravens last year so every little bit will help.

I watched him vs. Tennessee at RT and was impressed. He jolted the defender back nearly every time he made contact, and he's athletic and high motor. Really fast acceleration for a lineman. He could be really good

I liked the pick as soon as it was called. So far, it's the best draft in a looooooong time.
