Then explain what happened two years ago when he had Delanie and only threw 13 TD’s? Followed by 11? He’s had enough to work with. Davis is great, Matthews was fine, Tajae and Taylor fine as depth. He also had Murray, Henry, Lewis, and All pro offensive line. I’m not buying what you’re selling guy....This team keeps getting better, he keeps getting worse.

that has nothing to do with what you said, i didnt make any excuses for his poor play, but YOU said he has had multiple receivers for YEARS so chemistry shouldn't be a problem. Half the people you listed are gone or aren't even in the rotation.

Doesn’t matter. He didn’t have chemistry with them then or now. Davis, Taylor, Smith, etc. He’s had plenty. There have been dudes in this league with less do as good or better.

He had had essentially 1 season of Davis (1.5 maybe). This is also the 1st offseason Davis has really participated in.

Murray was great when he still had tread left on the tires and I think our O has really missed that.

We had 1 year of the “All pro” OL. But it has fallen off considerably the last couple years. To the point where we were questioning if Conk could still hack it, and we had some of the worst pair of Gs last year.

Tajae and Taylor are fine as depth, sure ... too bad they were starters last year, not depth.

Davis was our only real receiving threat last year, and teams schemed him out of the game most weeks.

You act like we had all these pieces on the team and healthy at the same time.

We *should* have a lot of the pieces in place this year, assuming they stay healthy. If Mm doesn’t do better with the talent around him, I will be right there with you calling him out.

But the team has not been “getting better” each year. On paper maybe, but not the actual guys we put out on the field.

This team absolutely has gotten better...From both a coaching and player standpoint. Defense alone...ironic that the offense is the unit not jiving?

The offense isn't jiving because:

Inconsistent play and a step back from the OL
Inconsistent and poor play from Mariota
Non-existent running game for most of the year
WRs not playing well

Many factors

Hopefully the off-season has been productive, I'm cautiously optimistic about the team this year.

The Miami game killed us last year. Bad injuries in game 1- just really tough to come back from that. Friggin' 7 hour game. Ridiculous.

Keep easing AJ into gameplay.

That deep throw he had could have had a "moss" type play if the defender weren't reaching in his pockets.

Smaller skinny CBs don't wanna press him at the line or even tackle him down the field.

NextGen stats have AJ Brown with the 2nd most YAC per reception at 10.9 behind Mecole Hardeman 11.4
