Allowing Arthur Smith to be OC only to prop up Mariota with “continuity” was a desperate “hack” move by JRob.

Vrabel is a Defensive minded player coach. A 3rd grader would know that getting an EXPERIENCED OC was paramount for success. This offense has talent but plays desperate and without discipline because our scheme and play calling is an embarrassment. And Vrabel knows it and tries to compensate with overly aggressive moves.

I still think Vrabel is good HC material. He’s only in his 2nd year. We need to stay the course with him but seek an experienced OC next year. It was stupid to think a HC with 1 year experience and a rookie OC could produce a successful offense. And that’s on JRob and Amy.

I honestly quit watching in the second quarter- flipped to the Colts Steelers. Watching these Titans makes me apoplectic.

The problem is, who we gonna get to be oc? Anyone experienced with anything close to a proven track record is not going to want to take a slot under Vrabel.

So that would require us to identify and hire a young up and Comer. We utterly suck at that. And even if he were successful at finding and luring one, and he was successful, he's promptly bail and be a head coach somewhere, because every team in the league but us wants an offensive guru coach.

As for Vrabel... Is the defense him or pees? Eventually, pees will re-retire. Then we will see if Vrabel can do it alone.

It wasn't a good hire. I'd hope we fix it when we draft our next qb... But we won't.

If someone sucks at their job you replace them, period. The moment you start the "but who can we get" you screw yourself. Doesn't matter, if an employee isnt doing their job, get rid of them and try the next person. If that person isnt getting it done, get rid of them.

My point was not that we should not replace Arthur with a new oc. My point was that such a solution likely won't work.

What we need to do is what we should have done last go round... Find an offensive guy and make him the head coach.

No. The real issue is Arthur smith. dude is a complete joke

Is this a not so subtle “tank for (insert name)” suggestion?
Mariota sucks but could help get us a higher draft pick.

The problem is, like all NFL teams, they play to win regardless of circumstance. Tennessee is playing like they’ll win 2 maybe 3 games which should keep them around 15. Good thing there’s a few QBs coming up this year.
No tanking is playing tanny

No. The right way is to bring an experienced "offensive consultant". Seems to me like the Colts have done that a couple of times. And somebody else also did it successfully- I'm having trouble remembering and don't have time right now to look it up.

It was foolish to think that Arthur Smith could come in with no OC experience and successfully guide this offense without some experienced guy helping guide him.

Vrable was successful in that completion challenge... I thought he totally wasted a TO there - LOL

McGinnis said a Panther MLB verbally called a TItan play at the LOS and then blew it the F up - he was exasperated about it

I was at the game and the Panthers fan next to me was amazed at how I was guessing the play call correct so many times.....I just said that if you watch this team enough you get a feel for what they feel comfortable doing in certain down and distances.

In pre-game warm up Succop had a bunch of big time shanks....my son ask me if I thought he was ready to go and I said they wouldn't put him out if they didn't think he was good to go...guess I was wrong.

After the opening 2nd half TD drive Lewan came over to the sideline and got right in Arthur Smith's face and was yelling...hard to tell exactly what the context was though...

Probably something along the lines of “if the play calling doesn’t change, I swear on the next big play, I’m grabbing someone’s face mask.”

:bs:......:disappointed:

Dion Lewis' 35 snaps Sunday (Henry had 40) were 2nd-most he's had this season, and his most since Week 3 loss to Jaguars.

Makes sense. Carolina has a weak run d. What better way to boost those numbers than pop in that d1ckw33d.

Week 9 insider notes: Sorry, Browns, but it's already over, Bills' defense has a big problem, and more

Ryan Tannehill is making himself a nice chunk of change somewhere next season with his play. Might be he remains in Tennessee, but regardless, you compare his body of work to Marcus Mariota and there is a stark contrast in ability to push the ball downfield, feed outside receivers and generally make things happen. The Titans aren't going anywhere in 2019 – they had as many penalties as first downs at halftime Sunday – but Tannehill has a real chance to move up the pecking order of free agent QB options next season. …

Except it’s the HC who chooses his staff not the GM. If anyone from the FO have insisted on having say over the staff then it’s no wonder we couldn’t attract anyone for the HC job but the crap we have now.

If he’s not even average what’s Mary?
Dude, he hasn't well this year.....but as WE HAVE SEEN...that isn't the only problem by far and this team is BROKEN as currently formed....BURN IT ALL DOWN...except for IMO, Byard, SImmons and a very, very select few.

Blah blah blah

same amount wins and tds and more yards half as many games

If Tannys not average what’s Mary??

Also WTF was up with Lewan, during I believe the second drive, maybe the third, two penalties on two straight plays...KILLING a drive....this dude....been far more worried about his podcast than his game.
