Would probably be the end for Daquan Jones. Can’t see them paying him 8 million to be a backup NT. Cutting Jones would free up 7 million in cap space and leave a million in dead money.
I don’t think Reader will be much cheaper (if at all) than Jones.

The 2m savings is after the dead money. Youd rather pay 4m to a guy who cant make a FG?Succop has $2.1 mil in dead money and $2 mil in cap savings. He won’t be cut.

Greg Jones played better and will cost like 500k. So we can pay better guy 500k and gain 2mil in cap or the crappy guy 4mil and gain like 300k in cap.Succop has $2.1 mil in dead money and $2 mil in cap savings. He won’t be cut.

You will pay more money to cut Succop and sign another kicker than to just pay Succop. That’s why it won’t happen. He was clearly hurt last year. I think he gets another chance.

Look, if succop is healthy now and as good as he was a couple years ago, then great. I just doubt that.

And I think it’ll be a camp battle between them. Succop will get his shot to prove he’s back. But I don’t think he’s cut before then.
