If interim titles don't mean anything then why even have them? I've never really been a fan of the interim title anyway. If a champ can't defend in a reasonable amount of time, strip their ass. Bellator could be a good promotion if they would quit having these main events with old washed up fighters.
Bellator doesn't have the resources the UFC has but I think it's a damn good product, especially as one that I don't have to pay for. Not to mention they routinely put on tournaments. They don't have the top talent, but they have an interesting enough roster to put on entertaining fights. I do agree that they need to lay off washed up main events though. They have been able to poach top tier guys like Rory and Gegard though.
