I’ve got it recorded to watch when I get back from Florida. I saw Till missed weight though. I was pretty excited for the fight but that puts a slight damper on it.

I like the the upcoming welterweights. Dos Anos vs Douche Covington should be good.

Till, Covington, and Usman bringing new blood to the WW division.
 
Since there are so many fighters missing weight now if they still have the fight the fighter should be deducted a point from the fight.

Something more than 20-30% of purse needs to be done for sure. I think you need to really start hitting their wallet. Make them completely ineligible for any win/performance bonuses. Something. IMO there also needs to be a max limit you can be over for the fight to be allowed to take place. Mackenzie Dern was like 7.5lb over for a 115lb fight. That's a massive, ridiculous advantage.

Well, technically the opponent (who made weight) can decline the fight. But then they are giving up their payday, disappointing the fans, and risking making the UFC mad at them for ruining the fight/event (even though it was the fighter who missed weight's fault).
 
Aaaaaaaaaaaand Romero misses weight. This shit is beyond ridiculous at this point. It's getting really difficult to get excited for any card these days. They need to fix this crap stat.

Romero just missed weight. Whitaker said awhile ago he won't take the fight if Yoel is over. It was only 0.2lb though so we'll see. Honestly I'd love for Whitaker to decline the fight and ruin the event just to send a message.

A lot of fighters just try to cut too much weight.

They may have to start doing periodic weight checks on fighters during fight camps. Maybe that’ll prevent these dudes trying to cut a shit ton of weight in a matter of days.

Yoel is a freaking monster of a man too. It's crazy he could ever even get to 185. And now he's 41yo.

Yeah they need to do something. Seems like every event has some issue lately. It really sucks as a fan.
 
Dudes are just trying to go a weight class below where they should be fighting.

I remember reading about St Pierre back during his title stint. I think it said he walked around at like 210 when he wasn’t in a training camp.
 
Whitaker is taking the fight but it'll be non-title, obviously. Apparently Romero is in actual physical pain from the cut though. So nothing is official yet.
 
The constant disappointment continues. Max Holloway has pulled out of the fight with Ortega.

Hopefully nothing too serious but this is such a bummer. I was looking forward to this fight more than DC/Stipe. This makes 3 fights in a row Max "Cursed" Holloway has pulled/been pulled out of. They claim his symptoms started before the weight cut but who knows. I bet he moves to 155 sooner rather than later.
 
Glad I didn’t order this card. It still has good fights on it but this is a huge hit. I’ll probably just try and catch a free stream for most of it now.
