I said that after watching last years champs get eaten alive by the Skins, and some other games recently. That’s in quotes. Whose quote? I’ve havent seen anyone say this.
Didn’t notice a direct response to this post. :duckrun::duckrun::duckrun::duckrun:Here’s some numbers then rather than just cherry pick the 4K and 1K backs:
2011
pass att per team 544.1 for an avg yards 3675.0
436.3 avg run att per team fo an avg of 1874.3 yards
2012
Avg att - 555.9 for avg yards 3700.6
435.2 avg rush att for 1854.7 yards
2013
Avg att - 566.8 for avg yards 3769.8
Avg rushes - 433.5 for 1806.1
2014
Att - 558.7 for 3789.0
Rush - 427.8 for 1781.3
2015
Att - 571.8 for 3901.3
Rushes - 421.5 for 1741.4
2016
Att - 571.7 for 3863.7
Rushes - 421.5 for 1741.4
2017
Att - 546.5 for 3589.7
Rushes 416.3 for 1742.6
2018
Att - 552.2 for 3804.3
Rushes - 414.8 for 1831.3
2019
Att - 557.9 for 3759.4
Rushes 418.3 for 1806.3
2020
Att - 563.1 for 3842.4
Rushes - 431.4 for 1902.1
Something to note is how the passing yards and attempts are down across the league (albeit just a little) since 2015/16.
20 pass att per season (2011 vs. 2020) hardly seems like “lot of change”
You’ll also note the highest league rushing totals in att are 2013/14 and 2020 and yards peaked in 2020.
So
A) once again, definitely not “ a lot changed” over the past 10 years BUT
B) it’s falsehood that the league is passing more and rushing less across the league over these last 10 years.
We’re done. I’m good, anyone following along can get my point.Didn’t notice a direct response to this post. :duckrun::duckrun::duckrun::duckrun:
Those 2 statements go hand in hand.
He disappeared against Baltimore last year in the playoffs.
And yet the 2 teams in the super bowl last year ranked 16th and 28th in rushing.
I’ll respond now but nothing i havent said before in various threads.Did not notice a direct response to this…
Did not notice a direct response to this…
pass attempts are higher every year compared to 2011. But “I didn’t notice a direct response to this…”
:stfu:
Does the 2 teams in the SB rushing stats forever define how the league is going to be?
If this year has say the #5 rushing team vs the #9 rushing team, does that mean forever and always rushing teams are now who will always win the SB?
Although I don’t recall that quote being to me, there were a lot a may have missed it.
Fact is last year, this offense was the top dog! Ryan was behind center Dman! If the the top offense isn’t good enough to win a SB, I’d like an explanation.
Fully agree on all points here.I have no interest in arguing, and some good points were made here. I do think the following points need to be added (or I missed them in this 4 page debate).
1. Offenses did start skewing deep pass heavy after the DPI and roughing the passer rule changes.
2. Defenses adapted and focused more on speed in the secondary and/or more zone schemes.
3. Offenses are now adapting back and going with bigger packages and rushing attacks.
4. Less and less teams are using a primary featured RB and more than usual are using a 2 or 3 RB committee.
Cool. So your opinion still remains THill can’t win. Titans need a change at QB.*rule changes favor offense and QB’s*
“How does a rule change affect a QB’s ability to win?”
LOL
Foles was playing at an elite level in the playoffs. He outplayed every QB he faced. He wasn’t carried by a RB.
The other examples had some of the best defenses of all time.

Don’t know what your point of directly responding is about. Are ya scared to respond directly to me or something? Lol
And what happened in the playoffs last year? Hint: it’s the point you keep avoiding in this thread.
Agree. The formula was there against NE and Balt 2 years ago.Yep. But I realize finding an elite QB is incredibly difficult. I’d rather we be in the hunt than in QB purgatory for sure.
The reality is Tannehill hasn’t been able to win when we needed him to step up. KC in 19 and last year Baltimore.
I will gladly eat crow if I’m wrong. Hell I’ll eat crow if RT7 doesn’t touch 100 yards passing in any game and we win a SB. I want him to be successful just as much as anyone. But I’m not going to be some blind homer either.
There’s a reason the Bucs went from a .500 team to super bowl champion after adding an elite QB.
I don’t disagree and won’t discredit Brady’s impact. But you must also acknowledge that they added Suh, Gronk, AB, Fournette, Haeg, and drafted top positional players in the draft in OT Tristan Wirfs and S Antoine Winfield. There’s a reason the Bucs went from a .500 team to super bowl champion after adding an elite QB.
