This is not a Mariota slander thread so please do not delete it or merge it. I just want to ask everyone what tier QB they predict Mariota will be at the end of the season, statistically (QBR). Just so we can hold people accountable by seasons end, whether they be a hater, a lover or indifferent.

Mariota slander in this thread will not be tolerated!

Only other Mariota votes are:
Pick a side love or hate mariota
Will Mariota retire after this season

SaltyP always so sarcastic
The vote should be what's your prediction on whether or not MM8 be on the team next year.

Too hard to discern. Sometimes titans like to go titans and resign players that shouldn’t be resigned. MM could end up 4th tier and be a titan still because that’s what we do.

Maybe just go this route:

3400 yards, 20 TD, 9 INT, 62% comp. 324 rush yards and 3 TD.

I’d say that will put him borderline 3-4 tier, but I voted 3.

The odds are that he will never be in the 1st tier. If past performance is a good indicator of future results then he’s probably in the 3rd tier.

Let’s just hope he can surprise us all and come out with a high 2nd this year. With a top defense that could be enough to make some noise.

Well technically he has been in the second tier 2 of his 4 seasons, so past performances would say that's the most likely landing spot.

Depending who you're talking to theres anywhere from 12-20 better QBs

So at best that puts him in the 2nd group

No GM or coach will ever judge their QB by QBR, PFF QB rating, etc. The only people who use that are those who paid to have it created or are getting paid to use it.

What do they use to judge then? TD passes? That's all anyone here seems to care about

I'd say TD:INT ratio is big thing to look at

Because Mariota doesnt make a ton of mistakes, his low TD totals arent as big a problem as other QBs. Hes a game manager 3/4 of the time, and if he didnt turn the ball over early he wins you games late.

Comp% is also a way to gauge a QB
