Actually, he won a playoff game because Andy Reid choked as usual, and he bounced a pass off a defenders face mask that should have been a pick six. Mary got lucky and it bounced to him and he ran it in.

this is a load of sh**. Whether you like him or not Marcus put it all out there for us to come back. How can you ignore the TD strike to Decker? The HUGE block for Derrick Henry, etc. If you dont like Marcus thats fine, but dont be asinine and give every single person credit for something he worked for. Who was the one that sealed the game in Jax for us to get to the playoffs? It's time to move on from him, but dont be a dbag and just ignore the fact that he brought us back to relevancy for the first time since 2008.

He didn’t bring us back to shit. Literally any qb could of got us where Mary did (and this is fact cause Mary was like the worst producing qb of his career)

imagine how mad the d players are who actually brought us to relevancy if they read shit like this. Disrespect

Funny how ppl like you just go straight to insults in order to avoid facts
Facts: He didn’t even win all of the games to get them there, and even still, we were barely above .500 in a trash division. The defense carried us and kept us in games. The year of the playoffs we had a 1k yard rusher...It took a freak play and an injury to Travis Kelce to actually win that game.

If the D was so good why need a freak injury to stop the Chiefs? Also wasn't aware Kelce plays D

Stopping Kelce, *clears throat*, stopped the Chief's offense... but it was on the Titans offense to mount the comeback.

Also, credit where credit is due... during that season when the offense would struggle, it would open up and go no huddle. Then it would improve.

At those times, it was run by Mariota - hurryup offense.

So, you could literally tell a difference between Robiskie's lethargic offense and Mariota's hurryup.

Here's the problem... I firmly believe a team cannot operate like that continuously.

Yep, teams have tried to run a non-stopped hurryup offense in the past and it never seems to last. Once defenses adjust to it, it is no different than any other offense you plan for.

This is so dumb

literally every qb ooks better in hurry up spurts. That is an unsustainable o tho

Sounds like you're just making excuses for winning games? We had a 1k yard rusher last year and would have made it had mariota played we week 17

Well the organization is at fault for Mariota's frustrations. End of story. Quite astonishingly they didn't know or care to know what style of QB he was as if they had never watched him play. I don't think they ever bothered or took the time to do that. All I can do is shake my head and open my eyes big and round in utter disbelief. How can this happen? They don't know what they're doing?

I always believed that this organization had good intentions but I had a sense they didn't think it was all that important or look carefully at the magazine at all the different styles and types to adequately link two things together to make a product work efficiently. After trying this and that they ended up taking the product back and replaced it with something that somewhat fit what they had done. My suspicions were realized.

It was as if they were totally ignorant in what his attributes and strengths were, his athleticism and method of production. I'm talking about a franchise that couldn't put the pieces together to make it work and in the process made Mariota the laughing stock of the league. They did some hiring and what we're seeing is the product of their incompetence. Lousy coaches, lousy offensive scheme, lousy play calling, the whole works a jumbled mess of useless parts. The end result was a benching, an admission of absolute failure. These numbskulls didn't know what they had when they had it or what to do with it when they got it. Mariota said that his career is not over. Well you know what? It hasn't even begun. Yeah that's how unbelievably outrageous things are in Nashville. John Bob with his toys pretty much sums it up.

They had a product they didn't know how to turn on. They fumbled around with it and took it back. But I believe there are teams salivating at the mouth to get him because they know the Titans have been busy trying to put a block in a round hole for years. It's just a matter of time now.

I have a feeling this is going to be the story. He's going to go somewhere else to a team that lets him play how he wants and use him to the best of his abilities and he's going to have success while the Titans sit here looking stupid.

Unfortunately, I have the same feeling.

The Titans, we just have this systemic archaic thought process that what worked in the 50's-80's should still work, so we won't change the organizations thought process.

When it came out that they do not use analytics, I am sure most of you joined me in the thought of, "no ****, do tell".

You have nothing to worry about...

1. NFL teams are not going into a college scheme for a qb... it is up to the college qb to adjust to the NFL.
2. Even if they did... Mariota has fundamental issues that will never allow him to be a good qb. He is done, over, finished.

And if teams were "salivating" to get Mariota... they would have tried to trade for him before the deadline. DEAD SILENCE. No team wants Mariota unless they can get him as a backup for as cheap as possible.

Can you explain what this will look like?
