I think YTD Ty has seen 33% of the snaps, not sure about previous years.Anyone got any statistics on Lewans snap percentage the past few years? Seems like last year and this year he’s missed tons of snaps due to injuries, I like the energy he brings, but I feel like he’s missed a lot of time anyways especially considering his contract not counting the suspension.
Funny thing is, even after Lewan went out, we were still running a lot of TE in the slot, and emptying the back field, and Ty did ok.Next man up is probably a tight end or back to help Ty out.
Ty’s effectiveness will depend on the competition. Against the deeper and more aggressive defenses, I am not sure he holds up. Hope so, but we don’t have much of a sample size. Depth is a big issue and doesn’t look as if Wilson can answer the bell on game day.Funny thing is, even after Lewan went out, we were still running a lot of TE in the slot, and emptying the back field, and Ty did ok.
The thing I'm most concerned about is depth. Hopefully Wilson can at least be that in case anything happens to Ty, and have Kelly flip to LT. It's not ideal, but it's better than nothing.
Do we call up Kemp or Quessenberry up off the PS?
Wouldn't be surprised to see us make a call to Cordy Glenn or Cam Robinson though.
Problem with Lewan is he wants to be Lewan the personality more than Lewan the football player. We got a lot of money tied up in this guy who hasn't played a whole season in 2 years.Anyone got any statistics on Lewans snap percentage the past few years? Vrabel hinted at surgery in today’s presser. “I’m not sure when the surgery is scheduled” or something to that effect. But Vrabel is always dodgy in pressers so....Has anybody read anything about surgery? Just don’t see anything about that in what I’ve read. IF its a partial tear and rest/rehab is what is recommended, he could be back by January. If it requires surgical repair, he’s done until next season.
I would love for Sambrailo to be the feel good story of the year. Given his chance, he becomes a dominant starter. Titans trade Lewan for two first and a third to Miami.Player - PFF grade - Snaps
Sambrailo - 66.1 - 121
Lewan - 61.8 - 239
Kelley - 62.5 - 359

A knee brace does not eliminate ACL tears. The way he tore his, a brace would have done nothing to stop according to this doctor, and frankly from what I saw of the injury and having played the position myself. That was bound to happen just because of the way he landed and twisted.Mandatory knee braces across the entire line, I don’t know why this is even a question.
I see so many people writing him off that he won’t play at all this year. I honestly expect to see him in the next 2-3 games. That dude is massive and I’m sure they continue to work on his conditioning. As long as he understands the scheme, I think he’ll soon see the fieldWhy all the hate on Wilson? Besides the stupid off field stuff. How do we know he cant play football?
Well I think part of the problem is we don't know anything at all about him. He hasn't been active for a single game this year, so hard to exactly put any trust that he can come in and do anything yet.Why all the hate on Wilson? Besides the stupid off field stuff. How do we know he cant play football?
