Not use what yo mean by “literally gave up”.I legitimately believe the turning point in that AFC title game was Maholmes' rushing TD before the half where we literally gave up on the play. That was absolutely a morale killer, we hold them to a field goal and I think we had a chance of winning in the second half and going to the Super Bowl.
The ball was stripped, Mahomes did fumble that ball. It just did t get far enough away from his body for anyone else to possible recover it since it didn’t hit the ground.
It was a prime example of going for the strip instead of just tackling.
It was a huge turning point, but had that ball gotten further away, that could have very well been the coffin closer.
