Titans were like 4th tennant in that cow palace ( it was built to show livestock afterall) and they made sure BA knew it

It wasn’t built for showing livestock. The Rodeo used it. It was built for baseball actually. It was always controlled by the Astros which also pissed BA off. He wanted his own stadium. He was tired of being a tenant as you said.

I DO miss the old school Livestock Show and Rodeo being in the Dome. I've only gone once since they built NRG. Of course I'm still p!$$ed that they did away with my beloved Astroworld. At least they had the decency to wait until after I moved away from the area...

The Rodeo has never been the same. I agree with you. It’s totally different.

Losing Astroworld hurt. Houston should never have lost the theme park.

Need to win this game, for obvious reasons. The 2 fanbases will remember this game forever. We need to beat these idiots claiming its their history while we wear those beautiful jerseys. So we can rub it in their face even more and JJ Watt can cry even more. TTFU

I’m not always for showboating, but after the W, if one of the titans can drop a deuce on the midfield logo, that’d be pretty great.

I don't post here often, but go on this site everyday for years, But I feel like I gotta post.... I am born in raised in Houston Texas. I'm 35 years old. My old man had season tickets to the oilers for as long as I remember as a kid. I had my first beer in the Astrodome, my first kiss in the Astrodome ( granddaughter of a browns fan that had poker season tickets), watching the Titans wear the Oilers uniform is one of the most amazing things I've witnessed as an adult. My dad made me record the game against the falcons when we wore the luv ya blue jerseys....

I understand the oiler jerseys don't mean much to the titans fans in Tennessee... But it means so much to me and my dad watching them play in it. I grew up with the oilers are number one, and whoever played Dallas that week was my second favorite team...

We used to have a saying in Houston I remember as a kid...
The Dallas Cowboys might be America's team, but the Houston Oilers were Texas' team ...

I've only been to Nashville once with my dad to watch a game... It was titans vs cowboys I believe in 2016... But Bud Adams was the man and I believe any strunk is doing a great job.

There are a lot of Titans fans down here that hate the Texans like me and my pops... That's how you can tell the difference between the real oilers/titans fans and the fair weather fans...

Now that’s a Texas sized post.

i had to
1) re-read his post
2) re-read the title of thread to confirm "@ Titans"
3) re-read his post again

was like wtf my guy lol
It happens when you don’t bother to actually read the thread title. I knew it was the next game thread.

There's a number of us with current or old Houston ties, like me and TitanMark for example, and I could NOT agree more. In my mind there's not a more beautiful uniform in the HISTORY of sports NOT being currently utilized like the old Oilers unis. I'm a little older than you, but I certainly remember all of my school buddies being Oilers fans before the ascendency of the Cowboys, and sadly it was like a switch flipped over night, they had almost all turned on me. I will forever hate the Cowboys, will forever be apathetic towards the Texans, and will forever love the Titans/Oilers.

From PA myself and I stood alone among Bills, Steelers, and Browns fans almost exclusively where I grew up.
Super proud to wear the colors and would absolutely argue Warren Moon stats with the run n shoot against anyone. really wish they could have got it done once.

I always claim I became a Houston fan when I was a kid because of Earl Cambell, but if I had to tell the absolute truth it was because I loved the uniforms, Earl just happened to be a rookie at the same time I became NFL aware.
